Ravenshaw, one of the premier educational institutions in the country was established in 1868 in the town of Cuttack in Orissa. After one hundred and forty years of eventful existence, it was converted into Ravenshaw University by an Act of the State Legislature on November 15, 2006. Thus, as one of the heritage educational institutions, and as a young university, Ravenshaw is a veritable blend of the old and the new.

Name of the Post: Professor
No. of Vacancy: 17 posts
Scale of Pay: Rs.16400 – 450 – 20900 – 500 – 22400 + admissible allowances.
Qualification: An eminent scholar with published work of high quality engaged in research with 10 years experience in post graduate teaching and / or research at the University / National Level Institutions, including experience of guiding research at doctoral level.

Name of the Post: Reader
No. of Vacancy: 45 posts
Scale of Pay: Rs.12000 – 400 – 18300 + admissible allowances
Qualification: Good academic record with a doctoral degree or equivalent published work. Candidates shall possess at least 55% marks or equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale with letter grades, O, A, B, C, D, E and F at the Master’s Degree level.

Name of the Post: Lecturer
No. of Vacancy: 91 posts
Scale of Pay: Rs. 8000– 275– 13400 + admissible allowances
Qualification: Good academic record with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade of B in the seven point scale with letter grades, O, A, B, C, D, E and F at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
