Military Engineer Services (MES) Headquarters Chief Engineer Pathankot Zone, Pathankot invites applications from eligible candidates on prescribed format for Stenographer Gde-III and Lower Division Clerk (LDC), For the posts:
Lower Division Clerk (LDC) : 169 posts (UR-85, SC-25, ST-18,OBC-46), Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs 5200-20200(+1900 Gde pay), Age Limit : 18-27 years as on 11.05.2009, Qualification : (i) Matriculation or equivalent Examination of recognized University/ Board
(ii) Typing speed 30 Words per minute in English or 25 words per minute in Hindi on typewriter
Stenographer Gr. III : 14 posts (UR-7, SC-2, ST-1,OBC-4), Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs 5200-20200(+2400 Gde pay) Age Limit: 18-27 years as on 11.05.2009, Qualification : (i) Matriculation or equivalent (ii) Speed of 80 words per minute in Stenography in English or Hindi (iii) To translate same on typewriter in English or Hindi in prescribed time.
Written Test :- Written Test will be conducted for above posts. There shall be one paper comprising two parts ???? Part-I : Objective type and Part-II : Descriptive type of 90 minutes duration each . Place of test/Venue, date and time of Written Test will be intimated later.

The application in the given format on A-4 size paper (210mmx297mm) typed neatly in English duly filled in should be sent to CHIEF ENGINEER PATHANAKOT ZONE, PATHANKOT –145001 . Only attested copies of certificates and testimonials should be attached with the application on or before last date 15.06. 2009. The applicants are required to send one self addressed envelope of size 220mmx100mm duly affixed along with postal stamp of Rs 27/- only.
