Damodar Valley Corporation, one of the premier power utilities in India engaged in Thermal/Hydel Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution with its Head Quarters in Kolkata, invites applications from Indian citizens only for its various power projects / offices / hospitals / dispensaries spread across the state of West Bengal and Jharkhand. i. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Elecrical) :

Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 RS. 15600 to 39100 Grade Pay Rs. 5650/-,
Age Limit : Not to Exceed 29 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : 4 (four) years� full time Bachelor Degree in Engineering & Technology in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics from any recognized college / Institute / University, approved by AICTE with not less than 65% marks in aggregate for General & OBC candidates. 5% marks is relaxable for SC & ST candidates.
ii. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Mechanical) :
No of Post : 06 posts,
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 RS. 15600 to 39100 Grade Pay Rs. 5650/-,
Age Limit : Not to Exceed 29 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : 4 (four) years� full time Bachelor Degree in Engineering & Technology in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics from any recognized college / Institute / University, approved by AICTE with not less than 65% marks in aggregate for General & OBC candidates. 5% marks is relaxable for SC & ST candidates.
iii. Graduate Engineer Trainee (Civil) :

Essential Qualification & Experience : Passed final examination from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Cost & Works Accounts of India or MBA Degree / PG Diploma (at least 2 years full time) equivalent to degree in Finance from AICTE approved University/Institution.
vi. Medical Officer :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 RS. 15600 to 39100 Grade Pay Rs. 5650/-,
Age Limit : Not to Exceed 40 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : MBBS Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and obtained from a recognized Medical College/University & one year experience as a
medical practitioner after internship.
vii. Assistant Gr.II (Cashier) :
No of Post : 02 posts,
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-1 RS. 5200 to 20200 Grade Pay Rs. 3200/-,
Age Limit : Not to Exceed 32 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Graduate in Commerce with 5(five) years� experience in Cash Handling and Reconciliation of Bank Accounts. Desirable: Knowledge of the use of Computer.
