Indira Gandhi National Open University, IGNOU, Applications are invited from the Indian Nationals domiciled/Residents in North East Region in the prescribed form for filling up the following posts at IGNOU Regional Centres/Institutes located in North East Region:
 
i. Section Officer :
No of Post : 08 posts,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4800/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree of a recognized University and 5 Years experience in recruitment / establishment / purchase of stores/registration and evaluation/finance and accounts / general administration in University/Govt./Autonomous Organization/Public or Private Sector Undertaking Or A Bachelor’s Degree of a recognized University with at least second class with 8 years experience in recruitment / establishment /purchase of stores / registration and evaluation / finance and accounts / general administration in University / Govt. / Autonomous Organization/Public or Private Sector Undertaking.

ii. Personal Assistant :
No of Post : 16 posts,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : A Bachelor’s Degree of a recognized University with a minimum speed of 100 wpm in Shorthand and 40 wpm in type-writing on Computer and three years experience as Stenographer/PA in University/Govt./Autonomous Organisation/Public or Private Sector Undertaking.
Desirable : Ability to do word processing on PCs.

iii. Data Entry Operators :
No of Post : 13 posts,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University and Diploma /Certificate in computer application / programming and speed of 8000 key depressions per hour for data entry work.

iv. Semi Professional Assistant :
No of Post : 04 posts,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200 to 20200 Grade Pay  Rs. 2800/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University OR its equivalent with a certificate in Library Science.
Desirable : Knowledge of type-writing and ability to type own notes.

v. Assistant :
No of Post : 09 posts,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200 to 20200 Grade Pay  Rs. 2400/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : A bachelor’s Degree of a recognized University with 3 years experience in secretarial / administrative work in University / Govt. / Autonomous Organisation / Public or Private Sector Undertaking.
Desirable : Knowledge of type-writing and ability to type own notes.

vi. Stenographers :
No of Post : 02 posts,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200 to 20200 Grade Pay  Rs. 2400/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Matriculation OR its equivalent with 80 w.p.m. in Shorthand and Typing speed of 40 w.p.m. on computers with two years experience as Steno- Typist / Stenographer in University / Govt. / Autonomous Organization / Public OR Private Sector Undertaking.
Desirable : A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with experience as Stenographer. Ability to do word processing on PCs.

vii. Junior Assistant-cum-Typist :
No of Post : 19 posts,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200 to 20200 Grade Pay  Rs. 1900/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Matriculation OR its equivalent with two years experience in a clerical post in a Govt./ Semi-Govt. / Public Sector Undertaking / Reputed Private Company with a typing speed of 40 w.p.m. in English on computers. The typing speed in respect of any of the National Language will be as prescribed by the Central Govt./State Govt.
Desirable : A Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University with typing speed of 40 w.p.m. in English on computers.

Fees : Rs. 100/- One Hundred only (Rs. 50/- Fifty) in the form of DD drawn in favour of IGNOU, New Delhi. (PH/ Women candidates are exempted).
