National Thermal Power Corporation, NTPC, Under the direction of the Corporate Secretary, you will provide administrative support and a variety of secretarial and clerical functions for the Chairman’s Office and the Business and Energy Development Officer is responsible for monitoring, tracking, analyzing and assisting in the implementing emerging energy technologies, which are suitable for NTPC, the N.W.T. and the climatic conditions associated with the Canadian Arctic. Other duties include, performing research towards and assist with NTPC’s business development activities.
 
1. Administrative Assistant – Yellowknife, NT Part-time : 20hrs/week. One-year term Under the direction of the Corporate Secretary.
Essential Qualification & Experience : High School Diploma and Secretarial Certificate with several years related experience. Equivalencies considered. You must possess comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office which includes Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Experience with Great Plains and Joe Software is an asset. 
Scale of Pay : $28.27 per hour plus allowances of $4.27 per hour.  We provide a comprehensive benefits package including a Defined Benefit Pension Plan.

2. Business & Energy Development Officer : Officer- Yellowknife, NT, Working in a team environment, the Business and Energy Development Officer is responsible for monitoring, tracking, analyzing and assisting in the implementing emerging energy technologies, which are suitable for NTPC, the N.W.T. and the climatic conditions associated with the Canadian Arctic.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Related Technology Diploma, plus considerable related experience, preferably with distributed generation / alternative energy. Equivalencies considered. Computer knowledge and ability to apply business, economic and mechanical software applicable for the position. Ability to research using the internet and other available tools. Above average verbal and written communication skills and above average interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
Scale of Pay : $39.18 per hour, plus location, & accommodation allowances.   We offer a comprehensive benefits package which includes defined benefits pension plan.
