Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, JIPMER, Applications are invited by the Director, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research, Dhanvantari Nagar, Puducherry-605006 from eligible candidates for the following categories of post as mentioned below:
 
1. Tutor  :
No of Post : 10 posts,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 grade pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 35 years as on 16.08.2010.
Relaxation Age Limit : Not to exceed (UR-40, OBC-43, SC-45, ST-45) years as on 16.08.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : M.Sc. (Nursing) in the relevant discipline.

2. Clinical Instructor :
No of Post : 08 posts,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4800/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 30 years as on 16.08.2010.
Relaxation Age Limit : Not to exceed (UR-40, OBC-43, SC-45, ST-45) years as on 16.08.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.Sc. (Nursing) with three years teaching experience.

3. Junior Dietician :
No of Post : 01 post,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 30 years as on 16.08.2010.
Relaxation Age Limit : Not to exceed (UR-40, OBC-43, SC-45, ST-45) years as on 16.08.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Postgraduate Degree in Food and Nutrition of Food Service Management and Dietetics or Institutional Management and Dietetics from a recognized University or equivalent OR Degree in Home Science from a recognized University or equivalent.

4. Junior Hindi Translator :
No of Post : 02 posts,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 30 years as on 16.08.2010.
Relaxation Age Limit : Not to exceed (UR-40, OBC-43, SC-45, ST-45) years as on 16.08.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s degree of a recognized University in Hindi or English, with English or Hindi as a main subject at degree level; OR Master’s degree of a recognized University in any subject with Hindi as the medium of instruction and examination with English as a compulsory subject at degree level; OR Bachelor’s degree with Hindi and English as a main subjects or either of two as medium of recognized Diploma or certificates Course in Translation from Hindi to English and vice-versa or two years experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice-versa in central or state Govt. offices, including Govt. of India undertakings.

5. X-Ray Technician / Radiology Technician :
No of Post : 21 posts,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/- per month.
Age Limit : Between 18 to 27 years as on 16.08.2010.
Relaxation Age Limit : Not to exceed (UR-40, OBC-43, SC-45, ST-45) years as on 16.08.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.Sc. in Medical Radiation Technology (3-years course) or equivalent from a recognized University or Institute approved by AERB with 2 years experience in operating Radio diagnosis / Radiotherapy equipments in an established centre.

6. O.T. Technician :
No of Post : 05 posts,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200 to 20200 grade pay Rs. 2400/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 27 years as on 16.08.2010.
Relaxation Age Limit : Not to exceed (UR-40, OBC-43, SC-45, ST-45) years as on 16.08.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : 1. Matriculation or equivalent with science as a subject from a recognized Board or Institution. 2. Five years experience in an Operation Theatre of a recognized Hospital or Medical Institute. Desirable: Operation Theatre Assistant training from a recognized Hospital or Medical Institute.

7. Lab Assistant :
No of Post : 11 posts,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200 to 20200 grade pay Rs. 2000/- per month.
Age Limit : Not to exceed 27 years as on 16.08.2010.
Relaxation Age Limit : Not to exceed (UR-40, OBC-43, SC-45, ST-45) years as on 16.08.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience :
1. 10+2 in Science subjects from a recognized University or Board.
2. Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology from an Institute recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education or any other statutory body authorized by the Government for the purpose.

MODE OF SELECTION:
i. Written test
ii. Skill Test
iii. Personal Interview will be conducted at this Institute.
