Jawaharlal Nehru University, JNU, Applications are invited for filling up of the following non-teaching posts in the Jawaharlal Nehru University. posts : Assistant Registrar, Veterinary Officer, Senior Assistant, Stenographer, Junior Assistant-cum-Typist

1. Assistant Registrar Group-A :
No of post : 01 post (1-reserved for ST)
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 45 years.
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 with Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s degree with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale along with good academic record.

2. Veterinary Officer – School of Life Sciences Group-A :
No of post : 01 post (1-UR)
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 45 years.
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 with Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : B..Sc. and Animal Husbandry (at least four and half years course) with specialization in Animal Breeding  / Pathology / Pharmacology / Physiology / Toxicology from a UGC-recognized Institution /University with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade ‘B’ in the UGC seven point scale. Five years experience in breeding and maintaining / handing small laboratory animals and supervising such laboratory animal research facility.

3. Senior Assistant Group-B :
No of post : 13 Posts (12-UR, 1-SC)
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 35 years.
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 Rs. 9300 to 34800 with Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : (i) A University Degree; (ii) At least 5 years experience in Administration / Accounts / Secretarial work, of which at least three years as UDC in the Grade Pay of Rs.2400 or an equivalent post in a University/Government/ Public Sector undertaking / Corporate Institution of repute. (iii) Knowledge of Computer Operation;

4. Stenographer Group-C :
No of post : 05 Posts (3-UR, 1-OBC & 1-SC)
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 35 years.
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 Rs. 5200 to 20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : 1. Sr. Sec. School Certificate (10+2) with shorthand speed 80 w.p.m. 2. Candidates will have to qualify in the following tests before Interview: i) Paper-I: General English Minimum qualifying marks will be 40% in each paper ii) Paper-II: General Knowledge iii) Paper-III Stenography skill test (on computer) at the speed of 80 w.p.m. for 7 minutes for transcription time – English shorthand dictation 55 minutes and for Hindi shorthand dictation 65 minutes and minimum qualifying marks will be 40 out of maximum marks of 100.

5. Junior Assistant-cum-Typist Group-C :
No of post : 34 Posts (16-UR, 1-UR-PWD-OH, 9-OBC, 5-SC & 3-ST)
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 35 years.
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 Rs. 5200 to 20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 1900/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : 1. Sr. Sec. School Certificate (10+2) with shorthand speed 80 w.p.m. 2. Candidates will have to qualify in the following tests before Interview: i) Paper-I: General English Minimum qualifying marks will be 40% in each paper ii) Paper-II: General Knowledge iii) Paper-III Stenography skill test (on computer) at the speed of 80 w.p.m. for 7 minutes for transcription time – English shorthand dictation 55 minutes and for Hindi shorthand dictation 65 minutes and minimum qualifying marks will be 40 out of maximum marks of 100.
