Staff Selection Commission, SSC, Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the following posts as an Senior Technical Assistant (Chemical) and Junior Scientific Assistant (JSA) in Assam.

1. Senior Technical Assistant (Chemical) :
No of post : 02 Posts (UR-02) in Central Ground Water Board.
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 30 years (Relaxable by 05 years for Central Government Employees)
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master‟s Degree in Chemistry or Agricultural Chemistry or Soil Science from a recognised University.

2. Junior Scientific Assistant (JSA) :
No of post : 10 Posts (UR-07, OBC-02, SC-01) in Dte. Gen. of Supplies & Transport, M/o Defence.
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 30 years (Relaxable by 05 years for Central Government Employees)
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800/- with Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Science with Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics OR Chemistry, Botany and Zoology. 02 years experience in Food Inspection / Analysis.

Fees/Application Fee:
Rs. 50/- (Rupees fifty only). No fee for Woman candidates, Physically Handicapped, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Ex-S. However, no fee concession would be admissible to Ex-S who would otherwise be considered as general candidate. Such candidates are required to pay the requisite fee. Fee concession is not admissible to sons, daughters, and dependents of Ex-S. Service clerks in the last year of their colour service are not exempted from payment of fee.
