The Assam Public Service Commission will hold the Preliminary Examination of the Combined Competitive Examination 2013 for screening candidates for the Main Examination for recruitment to the under-mentioned services/posts in accordance with the Assam Public Services Combined Competitive Examination Rule 1989. The date of Examination will be notified in due course. The actual numbers of vacancies against each services/posts including reserved categories are shown below. post : Assam Civil Service – Junior Grade, Assam Police Service, Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies, Superintendent of Taxes, Inspector of Taxes, Labour Officer, Assistant Employment Officer, Labour Inspector, Inspector of Excise, District Transport Officer

1. Assam Civil Service – Junior Grade :
No of post : 120 posts (Reserved for RFW-27 & PWD and type of Disability-03)
Age Limit : The Candidate must be an Indian citizen. He/She should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2013.
Scale of Pay : PB-4 Rs. 12500 to 40000/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities / Institutions.

2. Assam Police Service (Junior Grade) :
No of post : 79 posts (Reserved for RFW-19)
Age Limit : The Candidate must be an Indian citizen. He/She should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2013.
Scale of Pay : PB-4 Rs. 12500 to 40000/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities / Institutions.

3. Assistant Registrar of Cooperative Societies :
No of post : 08 posts (Reserved for Hearing Impaired-01)
Age Limit : The Candidate must be an Indian citizen. He/She should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2013.
Scale of Pay : PB-4 Rs. 12500 to 40000/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities / Institutions.

4. Superintendent of Taxes :
No of post : 14 posts (Reserved for RFW-3)
Age Limit : The Candidate must be an Indian citizen. He/She should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2013.
Scale of Pay : PB-4 Rs. 12500 to 40000/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities / Institutions.

5. Inspector of Taxes :
No of post : 13 posts (Reserved for RFW-3)
Age Limit : The Candidate must be an Indian citizen. He/She should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2013.
Scale of Pay : PB-4 Rs. 12500 to 40000/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities / Institutions.

6. Labour Officer :
No of post : 03 posts
Age Limit : The Candidate must be an Indian citizen. He/She should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2013.
Scale of Pay : PB-4 Rs. 12500 to 40000/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities / Institutions.

7. Assistant Employment Officer :
No of post : 37 posts (Reserved for RFW-7, (1-Locomotor & 1- Visual Impaired)
Age Limit : The Candidate must be an Indian citizen. He/She should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2013.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 8000 to 35000/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4300/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities / Institutions.

8. Labour Inspector :
No of post : 14 posts (Reserved for RFW-3, Hearing Impaired-01)
Age Limit : The Candidate must be an Indian citizen. He/She should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2013.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 8000 to 35000/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4300/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities / Institutions.

9. Inspector of Excise :
No of post : 21 Posts (Reserved for RFW-5)
Age Limit : The Candidate must be an Indian citizen. He/She should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2013.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 8000 to 35000/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4300/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities / Institutions.

10. District Transport Officer ;
No of post : 03 Posts
Age Limit : The Candidate must be an Indian citizen. He/She should not be less than 21 years and more than 38 years of age as on 01.01.2013.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 8000 to 35000/- per month Plus Grade Pay Rs. 4300/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A candidate must hold a Degree from any of the Universities / Institutions.

Online form may be filled up w.e.f. 20.08.2013 to 12.00 Midnight of 19.09.2013 only. No application can be filled up after expiry of the given time as the link will be disabled.

Application/Examination Fees : Application Fee: Nil / Examination Fees Rs. 25/- for SC, ST(P) & ST(H). For others Rs. 50/- to be deposited only through e-Challan with State Bank of India.

Last Date of Application Submission : Apply Online from 20.08.2013 to 12.00 Midnight of 19.09.2013 only.
