Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd, UPPCL, Online applications are invited from eligible Indian Nationals for direct recruitment to the following posts of Assistant Engineer (Trainee) in various distribution companies viz, Madhyanchal/ Poorvanchal/ Pashchimanchal/ Dakshinanchal / Kesco and Power Transmission Corporation Ltd. under Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Ltd.

1. Assistant Engineer (Trainee) Electrical :
No of post : 250 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Diploma in Electrical from an recognized University OR from an Institute established under the law of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates should have thorough knowledge of Hindi Devnagri script. Must have one year computer course.
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 grade pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Minimum 21 years and Maximum 35 years as on 01.01.2011. Relaxation in age as per rules.

2. Assistant Engineer (Trainee) Electronic/ Tele Communication :
No of post : 30 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Engineering/ Electronics/Tele Communication from an recognized University OR from an Institute established under the law of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates should have thorough knowledge of Hindi Devnagri script. Must have one year computer course.
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 grade pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Minimum 21 years and Maximum 35 years as on 01.01.2011. Relaxation in age as per rules.

3. Assistant Engineer (Trainee) Computer Science & Engineering/ IT :
No of post : 25 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Electronics/Tele Communication/ Information Technology/Civil Engineering from an University OR from an Institute established under the law of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates should have thorough knowledge of Hindi Devnagri script. Must have one year computer course.
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 grade pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Minimum 21 years and Maximum 35 years as on 01.01.2011. Relaxation in age as per rules.

4. Assistant Engineer (Trainee) Civil :
No of post : 05 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from a University OR from an Institute established under the law of Uttar Pradesh. Candidates should have thorough knowledge of Hindi Devnagri script. Must have one year computer course.
Scale of Pay : Pay Band-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100 grade pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Minimum 21 years and Maximum 35 years as on 01.01.2011. Relaxation in age as per rules.

Selection Mode : Selection by Written test and and Interview for selected candidates.

Fees : Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 700/- for  SC/ST (domicile of U.P.) payable through a crossed demand draft of SBI in favour of Secretary, Electricity Service Commission, Lucknow payable at Lucknow.
