Government of India, Department of Space, Indian Space Research Organisation, ISRO, The Indian space programme was institutionalized in 1969 with the formation of Indian Space Research Organisation [ISRO]. Indian space programme is aimed at promoting the development and application of space science and technology for the socio-economic benefit of the country. The space programme has made a multi-quantum forward leap, making India a major self-reliant space power. The future ISRO programme envisages development of cutting edge technologies for reusable launch vehicle, development of advanced technologies Human Spaceflight Programme, advanced high efficiency semi-cryogenic propulsion system, advanced communication satellite, air breathing propulsion, satellite based navigation system. ISRO is looking for young, dynamic and dedicated administrative staff in across India for supporting the Scientists/ Engineers: 
 
1. Assistant:
No of Post: 148 posts (UR-84, OBC-34, SC-19, ST-11),
Scale of Pay: Rs.5200 to 20200/- Grade Pay Rs.2,400/-, 
Age Limit: Maximum age permitted upto 26 years as on 07.08.2009.
Essential Qualification & Experience: Graduation with minimum 60% marks First class. He should able to operate the computers, atlist Diploma of one year duration in Computer Applications desirable.
2. Junior Personal Assistants:
No of Post: 72 posts, (UR-47, OBC-13, SC-8, ST-4),
Scale of Pay: Rs.5200 to 20200/- Grade Pay Rs.2400/-,
Age Limit: Not to exceed 26 years as on 07.08.2009. Relaxation as per Govt. of India orders.
Essential Qualification & Experience: Graduation with 60% marks/first class/Diploma in Secretarial / Commercial/Stenographer as minimum of one year experience/equivalent in any Central/ State Govt./ PSU/ Autonomous body/ Pvt. Firm, A minimum speed of 40 w.p.m and 80 w.p.m in English Typing on PC and English stenography respectively.

Fees: Application Fee of Rs.100/- (Rupees One Hundred Only) for each application. Demand Draft details need to be filled-in at the time of on-line registration. The candidate before filing his/her application has to take a DD for Rs.100/- from any of the Nationalized Bank in favour of the Sr. Accounts Officer, ISRO HQ, Bangalore, payable at Bangalore.
