Border Security Force, BSF, Applications are invited from male Indian citizens belonging to General, Other Backward Classes, Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes for the post of ( HC-RO ) / (HC-FITTER) and (ASI-RM) in BSF. The post carries, in addition to pay, dearness allowance and other allowances, leave travel concession, medical facility.
 
1. Head Constable (Radio Operator) :
No of Post : 738 posts (Direct-444, Departmental-294),
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs. 5200 to 20200/- Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-,
Age Limit : Between 18 to 23 years as on 01.05.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Matriculation or equivalent plus two years ITI certificate in Radio and TV or Electronics or Intermediate or 10 + 2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics from a recognized Board or Institution.

2. Head Constable (Fitter) :
No of Post : 07 posts (Direct-4, Departmental-3),
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs. 5200 to 20200/- Grade Pay Rs. 2400/-,
Age Limit : Between 18 to 23 years as on 01.05.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board or Institution ; and two years Industrial Training Institute certificate in Engine Fitter or Diesel Mechanic or Automobile or Motor Mechanic from an Institution recognized by State or Central Government; or Intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board or Institution.

3. Assistant Sub-Inspector ( Radio Mechanic) :
No of Post : 155 posts (Direct – 93, Department-62),
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs. 5200 to 20200/- Grade Pay Rs. 2800/-, 
Age Limit : Between 18 to 25 years as on 01.05.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Matric with Diploma in Radio and TV Technology or Electronics or Telecommunication or Computer or Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or Domestic Appliances from any Institution recognised by the State Government or Central Government
or 10+2 or Intermediate or equivalent with aggregate marks of fifty percent with selective subject being Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognised Board or Institution.

Fees : Application should be accompanied by a Crossed Bank Draft / Indian Postal Order for Rs. 50/- (Fifty) only for Gen/OBC candidates as the examination fee in favour of The Inspector General or DIG/Comdt to whom the application is addressed payable at respective SBI/ post office. However,
the SC/ST and Departmental candidates are not required to submit examination fee.
