Constable Sports Quota Recruitment in SSB

Applications are invited from the MALE/FEMALE Indian Citizen for recruitment to the post of Constable (GD) in Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) against Sports Quota in the pay scale of Rs. 3050-4590/-.

1. Male : 90 posts in Games (Events- Football, Athletics, Volleyball, Basketball, Aquatics, Cross Country,Wrestling, ,Gymnastics, Judo, Hockey, Water Sports, Fencing, Wushu, Archery, Sepak Takrou and Weightlifting)
2. Female : 35 posts (Events- Athletics, UAC ( Judo, Taekwondo, Boxing) , Swimming , Archery and Weightlifting)
3. Eligibility :
   • Age : 18 to 23 year (Cut off date for age will be 1st August,2007). Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC.
   • Qualification : Matriculation or 10th Pass from a recognized board/university.
   • Height : 157 Cms for female and 175 cms for male ( 150 Cms for STs (162.5 cms for male) , 155 Cms (165 for male) for For female candidates falling in the categories of Garhwalis, Kumaonese, Gorkhas, Dogras, Marathas and candidates belonging to the States of HP, Sikkim, NE States, Kashmir, Leh & Ladakh region of J&K)

Application Fee : Demand Draft/ Postal Order of Rs.50/- for Gen/OBC categories only. The Demand Draft may be prepared in favour of Commandant 25th Bn SSB payable at SBI R.K.Puram New Delhi-1076. The IPO may be prepared in favour Commandant 25th Bn SSB New Delhi.

How to Apply : Applications in the prescribed format with passport size photograph affixing on application be sent superscribing on envelope in bold letter “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE (GD) IN SSB, AGAINST SPORTS QUOTA” to Commandant 25th Bn SSB Ghitorni, PO: Arjungarh, New Delhi –110047, so as to reach not later than 30/01/2008 through ordinary post/UPC/registered/courier. For candidates from far-flung areas the last date is 06/02/2008.
