Inland Waterways Authority of India, IWAI, invites applications from officers retired from the post / Rank of Executive Engineers / Deputy Directors (Engineering) or equivalent, from the Central Government / Armed Forces / Autonomous Bodies / Ports or from persons employed with private Companies, for appointment as Consultant (Mechanical / Marine) to be filled up on Contract basis initially for a period of three years, which may be extended for another two years based on the performance.

1. Senior Consultants :
No of post : 02 Posts
Age Limit : The minimum age for engagement shall be 40 years and maximum will be 62 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 65,000/- Fixed per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Should be a Graduate from any recognized Universities/Institutions in one of the Engineering disciplines. HO shall have minimum working experience of 15 years as follows:- The Field of experience for both categories of officers shall be as follows Experience on basic & detailed design, preparation of engineering drawings for construction of Inland / Sea going Vessels, supervision & monitoring the construction, attending to test, trial & delivery and/or contract management for the procurement of new vessels.

2. Consultants :
No of post : 03 Posts
Age Limit : The minimum age for engagement shall be 40 years and maximum will be 62 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 50,000/- Existing per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : The Consultants for posting in regional offices should be either a Diploma or Graduate from any of the engineering disciplines of Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering & Naval Architecture from recognized Universities / Institutions. Shall have minimum of 15 years working experiences or with a Degree with minimum 10 years of working experience.
