Indian Institute of Technology, IIT, Kharagpur invites applications from the Indian nationals for filling up of the following posts on direct recruitment / transfer on deputation / contract / re-appointment of retired persons. Applications needed from the Indian nationals for the following post :
 
I. Executive Engineer  (Civil) :
No of Post : 03 Post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent with at least 8 years experience in the execution/supervision/maintenance of large Civil Works as
Assistant Engineer, Engineer, Project Engineer or its equivalent.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100/-  Grade Pay Rs. 6600/-,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 40 years as on 22.04.2010. Age relaxation for SC/ST and women candidates is applicable as per government norms.

II. Engineer (Civil) :
No of Post : 02 posts (UR-3, OBC-1, SC-1),
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent with at least 5 years experience in the execution/supervision/maintenance of large Civil Works as
Assistant Engineer, Engineer, Project Engineer or its equivalent.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100/-  Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 40 years as on 22.04.2010. Age relaxation for SC/ST and women candidates is applicable as per government norms.

III. Junior Engineer (Civil) :
No of Post : 06 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Diploma in Civil Engineering or its equivalent with at least 2 years experience in the execution/supervision/maintenance of a large civil works.
Scale of Pay : PB-2 Rs. 9300 to 34800 grade pay Rs. 4200/-,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 35 years as on 22.04.2010. Age relaxation for SC/ST and women candidates is applicable as per government norms.
