National Centre for Radio Astrophysics, NCRA, has setup two Radio Telescopes viz. the Ooty Radio Telescope (ORT) and Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) at Khode and is on the lookout for suitably qualified candidates for the following positions of tenable at GMRT and ORT :
1. Engineer-D (Electronics) :
No of post : 01 Post (GMRT)
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 35 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- plus grade Pay Rs. 6600/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : M.E./M.Tech or PhD. (Electronics, Communication, Instrumentation) with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university. Minimum 2 years Experience in design and development of Radio Frequency systems / Antenna Receiver systems / Optical Fibre systems.
Desirable : Experience in advanced techniques of design, development and operations of low noise amplifiers, broad-band amplifiers, filters, optical fibre transmitters and receivers, and other components used in radio frequency receiver systems; knowledge of design tools used for the above applications.
2. Engineer-C (Electronics) :
No of post : 04 posts (UR-2 GMRT, UR-1 ORT, OBC-1 GMRT)
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 28 years, For UR and 31 years for OBC.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- plus grade Pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.E./B.Tech (Electronics) Graduate with minimum 60% marks from a recognized university. Must have Experience 01-2 years’ experience in Analog electronics / Radio Frequency electronics / Optical Fibre systems in a large and reputed organization.
Desirable : Experience in designing, development and operations of low noise amplifiers, broad-band amplifiers, filters, optical fibre transmitters and receivers, and other components used in radio frequency receiver systems.
