West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited, WBSEDCL, is a wholly owned Profit-making Government of West Bengal Enterprise, engaged in the business of Hydel Generation, Power Distribution throughout the state of West Bengal. invites applications from Indian Nationals to fill up the following vacant posts and also to maintain the panel to meet the future requirement time to time for the posts:
 
1. Assistant Engineer (Mechanical) : No of Post : 06 posts, Scale of Pay : Rs. 15,600 to 39,100/- Grade Pay Rs.5,400/-,  Essential Qualification : B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Mechanical Engineering from recognized University / Institute approved by AICTE.
 
2. Assistant Engineer (Electrical) : No of Post : 42 posts, Scale of Pay : Rs. 15,600 to 39,100/- Grade Pay Rs.5,400/-, Essential Qualification : B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Mechanical Engineering from recognized University / Institute approved by AICTE. Candidates having Dual Specialization in Electrical & Electronics may also apply.
 
3. Assistant Engineer (Civil) : No of Post : 05 posts, Scale of Pay : Rs. 15,600 to 39,100/- Grade Pay Rs.5,400/-, Essential Qualification : B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Civil Engineering from recognized University / Institute approved by AICTE.
4. Assistant Engineer (IT /Computer Science) : No of Post : 03 posts, Scale of Pay : Rs. 15,600 to 39,100/- Grade Pay Rs.5,400/-, Essential Qualification : B.E / B.Tech / B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Information Technology / Computer Science / MCA (full time) from recognized University / Institute approved by AICTE.
5. Assistant Manager (Finance & Accounts) : No of Post : 05 posts, Scale of Pay : Rs. 15,600 to 39,100/- Grade Pay Rs.5,400/-, Essential Qualification : Graduate in any discipline and passed Final Examination from Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India or MBA (Two year fulltime) with specialization in Finance from a recognized university / reputed Institute duly approved by AICTE.
6. Assistant Manager (HR &  Administration) : No of Post : 09 posts, Scale of Pay : Rs. 15,600 to 39,100/- Grade Pay Rs.5,400/-, Essential Qualification : Graduate in any discipline and MBA (2 year course) full time with specialization in Personnel Management / H.R or Post-Graduate full time Degree / Diploma (2 year course) with specialization in Personnel Management / H.R from a recognized University / reputed Institute approved by AICTE.
7. Assistant Manager (Stores) : No of Post : 03 posts, Scale of Pay : Rs. 15,600 to 39,100/- Grade Pay Rs.5,400/-, Essential Qualification : Graduate in Science / Engineering plus two year full time Post Graduate Diploma in Materials Management / MBA (Materials Management) from a recognized University / reputed Institute approved by AICTE.
8. Assistant Manager (Corporate Communication) : No of Post : 02 posts, Scale of Pay : Rs. 15,600 to 39,100/- Grade Pay Rs. 5,400/-, Essential Qualification : Graduate in any discipline plus MA (full time) in Journalism from a recognized University or full time Post Graduate Diploma in Mass Communication / Public Relations from a recognized University / Institute.
9. Sub Assistant Engineer (Electrical) : No of Post : 200 posts, Scale of Pay : Rs. 6,600 to 20200/- Grade Pay Rs. 4,400/-, Essential Qualification : Three Year Full Time Diploma in Electrical Engineering from an institute / College duly recognized by W.B. State Council of Tech. Education.
10.Sub Assistant Engineer (Civil) : No of Post : 30 posts, Scale of Pay : Rs. 6,600 to 20200/- Grade Pay Rs. 4,400/-, Essential Qualification : Three Year Full Time Diploma in Civil Engineering from an institute / College duly recognized by W.B. State Council of Tech. Education.
Age Limit For All : 27 years as on 01-07-2009. Age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates of W.B. State only.

Mode of Selection : Selection will be made on the basis of performance at written test and interview. Candidates called for written test / interview shall not be entitled to reimbursement of travelling expenses. The Written Test & Interview will be held in Kolkata only.
