Institute of Bioresources and Sustainable Development, IBSD, Imphal, a research institute under Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India, invites applications from the suitable candidates for the following positions for it extramural research project funded by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India. Prescribed application format is available at the Institute’s website or from the receptionist of the Institute. Duly fill in application form along with photo copies of attested certificate / testimonials in support of age and educational qualifications with recent self-attested passport size photograph of the candidate may be submitted to the undersigned on or before 16th September 2013 during Office hour. Only eligible / short listed candidates will be intimated for an interview before the selection committee. The selection procedure will be strictly adhered to Govt. of India norms. post : Senior Technical Assistant, Laboratory Assistant, Laboratory Assistant NE region.

1. Senior Technical Assistant :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Not exceeding 28 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 10000/-p.m. consolidated.
Essential Qualification & Experience : M.Sc.in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Life Sciences with specialization in Microbial Biotechnology. Preferences may be given to those having hand to hand work experience in cyanobacterial / microal gal research.
Title of the project : Creation of Fresh Water Cyanobacteria and Microalgal Repository at IBSD, Imphal, Manipur.
Duration: 31st March, 2014 or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier.

2. Laboratory Assistant :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Not exceeding 28 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 7000/-p.m. consolidated.
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.Sc. in Biological streams with basic knowledge of handling of equipments. Laboratory experience will be treated as extra merit.
Title of the project : Creation of Fresh Water Cyanobacteria and Microalgal Repository at IBSD, Imphal, Manipur.
Duration: 31st March, 2014 or till the completion of the project whichever is earlier.

3. Laboratory Assistant NE region :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Not exceeding 28 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 7000/-p.m. consolidated.
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.Sc. in Biological streams with basic knowledge of handling of equipments. Laboratory experience will be treated as extra merit.
Title of the project : Screening for extracellular protease activity from stock bacterial isolates of NE region of India
Duration: Three (03) years from date of sanction or till completion of project whichever is earlier.
