Cotton College State University, CCSU, Applications are invited from Indian nationals, committed to the highest standards of research and teaching, building up a vibrant academic ambience by pushing the frontiers of knowledge and using innovative pedagogic techniques, for the posts of Assistant Professors and Associate Professors in various Departments in the Faculties of Physical, Chemical and Mathematical Sciences; Life Sciences; Earth Sciences; Human and Social Sciences; and Languages, Literature and Linguistics.

1. Assistant Professors :
No of post : 64 Posts
Age Limit : Candidates should be below 55 years of age on 1st January, 2014.
Scale of Pay : Pay Band PB-3 of Rs. 15600 to 39100, AGP Rs. 6000/- and admissible allowances as per State Government rules.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Good academic record with at least 55 per cent of marks / an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed, at the Master’s degree level in a relevant subject from an Indian university, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university. Candidates are expected to have at least 50% marks at the Graduate level.

2. Associate Professors :
No of post : 27 Posts
Age Limit : Candidates should be between 21 and 38 years of age on 1st January, 2014.
Scale of Pay : Pay Band PB-4 of Rs. 37400 to 67000, AGP Rs. 9000/- and admissible allowances as per State Government rules.
Essential Qualification & Experience : 1. Good academic record with a PhD degree in the concerned/allied/ relevant discipline. 2. A Master’s degree with at least 55 per cent of marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever a grading system is followed). 3. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and/or research in an academic / research position equivalent to that of an Assistant Professor in a university, college or accredited research institution.
