Central University of Punjab, CUP, invites the applications for the post of Professor (short term deputation), Associates Professor (short term deputation) and Assistant Professors on purely temporary and on contract basis for one year or till the positions are filled up on regular basis whichever is earlier in following Disciplines :

Assistant Professors, Associates Professor & Professor :
In following Disciplines : Environmental Science and Technology / Social Studies (For Developmental Economics) / Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences / Computational Sciences/ Genetic Disease and Molecular Medicine / Computer Science and Technology / Green Architecture and Landscape Design / Environmental Law / Comparative Literature / Biosciences / Human Genetics.

Essential Qualification & Experience :
i. Assistant Professors : Assistant Professor in Green Architecture and Landscape Design, M. Arch. with two years teaching/research experience may also apply.
a) ESSENTIAL: Good academic record with at least 55% of the marks (50% in case of SC/ST/ Physically & Visually handicapped candidates) or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Master’s degree level, in the relevant subject, in the concerned area from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. However, the candidates, who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the “University Grants Commission (minimum standards and procedure for award of Ph.D. Degree). NET / SLET*+ Ph.D. is the minimum eligibility condition for recruitment and appointment.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15,600 to 39,100 plus Grade Pay Rs. 6000/- per month.

ii. Associates Professor : Associates Professor (On deputation) as per UGC guidelines.
Scale of Pay : As per UGC guidelines.
Age Limit : Retd. Professors / Associate Professors upto 64 yrs of age may also apply.
 
iii. Professor : Professor On deputation as per UGC guidelines.
Scale of Pay : As per UGC guidelines.
Age Limit : Retd. Professors / Associate Professors upto 64 yrs of age may also apply.
