Applications are invited in prescribed format detailed in the website of the University for the following posts in constituent departments :

1) One  post of  Director [Scale : Rs. 16,400/- 450- 20,900- 500- 22,400/-] in  School of IT . Qualification: Ph.D Degree (with first class degree at Bachelors/ Master’s level). In addition the candidate should be an eminent person in the field.

2) One  post of    Professor [Scale : Rs. 16,400/- 450- 20,900- 500- 22,400/-] in  Computer Sc. & Engg/Information Tech/Software Engg / Micro-Electronics.Qualification: 1st Class Master Degree and Ph.D. Degree in relevant area with preferred experience.

3) One post of Lecturer [Scale : Rs. 8,000/-275-13,500/-] in Computer Sc & Engg/Information Tech/Software Engg/ Micro-Electronics  Qualification: Passed Master’s Degree in appropriate field in Engineering & Technology; Preferably Ph.D. with post doctoral experience.

How to apply for above post:
Intending candidates may apply to the Registrar (Selection Committee), West Bengal University of Technology, BF – 142, Salt Lake, Sector – I, Kolkata – 700 064 in prescribed proforma with two copies of attested recent passport size photographs. Applications must reach the office of the Registrar within 25th February, 2008 along with a bank draft of Rs. 500/- ( non- refundable ) drawn in favour of West Bengal University of Technology, payable at any nationalized bank at Kolkata (SC / ST candidates shall pay only Rs.250/- as application fee).The University reserves the right to determine the number of candidates to be called for interview. Envelope shall be marked “CONFIDENTIAL – FACULTY” Forms will be available from the University office and website on and from 9th February, 2008.  Applications received after last date shall not be considered.

Fees:
