Jamia Hamdard, Deemed University, Applications on prescribed forms are invited for filling up the following positions in the university on UGC’s pay bands. Eligible candidates may apply on or before January 22, 2010.
 
1. Professor (Toxicology) :
No of Post : One post,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37400-67000 plus AGP of Rs. 10000/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A Ph.D. degree with 10 years of professional experience at senior level in such areas like distance education/educational planning and management, formulation and implementation of educational development programmes, teaching and research OR An outstanding scholar with established reputation who has made significant contribution to knowledge.
2. Professor/Director, DODL :
No of Post : One post,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37400-67000 plus AGP of Rs. 10000/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A Ph.D. degree with 10 years of professional experience at senior level in such areas like distance education/educational planning and management, formulation and implementation of educational development programmes, teaching and research OR Experience in research at the University/National level institutions, including experience of guiding research at doctoral level.
3. University Librarian :
No of Post : One post,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37400-67000 plus AGP of Rs. 10000/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience :
i. Master’s degree in Library Science/Information Science/Documentation with at least 55% of the marks or its equivalent grade of B in the UGC seven point scale and consistently good academic record:
ii. At least thirteen years as a Deputy Librarian in a University Library or eighteen years’ experience as a College Librarian.
iii. Evidence of innovative library service and organization or published work.
4. Head, Computer Centre  :
No of Post : One post,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600-39100 plus GP Rs. 7600/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph. D. degree in any branch of Science/Engineering/Management with first class degree at Bachelor’s or Master’s level in Computer Engineering/Computer Technology Or Ph. D. degree in Computer Science with first class MCA degree. Three years of experience of Data base management, networking & management of Computer Centre.
5. Security Officer
No of Post : One post,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300-34800 plus GP Rs. 4600/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelors’ degree in any discipline. Five years experience in the relevant field.
6. Field Worker, Family Welfare Centre :
No of Post : One post,
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200-20200 plus GP Rs. 1900/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelors’ degree in any discipline. One years experience in the relevant field.
