Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, SRFTI, Applications are invited from the citizens of India for appointment to the following posts in Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, Kolkata in the following Pay Scale plus other allowances as admissible as per Govt. of India Rules:
 
1. Assistant Professor of TV Engineering :
No of Post : 01 UR post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : (i) Degree in Engineering of a recognized University; (ii) Degree or POST GRADUATE Diploma or equivalent in Engineering in Electronics & Telecommunication from a recognized University or Institution; (iii) At least SIX years’ professional experience &/OR teaching of technical operations and maintenance in responsible capacity in an Institution or Organisation of repute. OR Master Degree of a recognized University / INSTITUTE in Electronics & TELECOMMUNICATION;
Scale of Pay : PB Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Grade pay Rs. 6600/- + MGS Rs. 46,148/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 42 years.

2. Lecturer (TV Technical Operations) :
No of Post : 01 UR post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : (i) Degree in Science or Engineering of a recognized University; (ii) Degree or POST GRADUATE Diploma or equivalent in Telecommunication/Electronics of a recognized University or Institution; (iii) At least THREE years’ professional experience including teaching in technical operations and maintenance in a responsible capacity in an Institution or Organisation of repute. OR Degree in Science / Telecommunication Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent;
Scale of Pay : PB Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Grade pay Rs. 5400/- + MGS Rs. 38,970/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 37 years.

3. Film Research Officer :
No of Post : 01 UR post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : (i) Degree of a recognized university; (ii) MASTER DEGREE or POST GRADUATE DIPLOMA in Media studies, Film Direction, Social Sciences of a recognized
University/institute;
Scale of Pay : PB Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Grade pay Rs. 5400/- + MGS Rs. 38,970/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 37 years. Relaxable upto 42 years in case of exceptional candidates.

4. Lecturer (Direction & Film History) :
No of Post : 01 UR post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : (i) Degree of a recognized University (ii) Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Film Direction or equivalent from a recognized University or Institute (iii) At least three years professional experience as film director and/or teaching experience in Film Direction/Film History in reputed organization or institution.
Scale of Pay : PB Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Grade pay Rs. 5400/- + MGS Rs. 38,970/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 37 years.

5. Lecturer Editing (Films) :
No of Post : 01 UR post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : (i) Degree of a recognized University (ii) Degree or Post Graduate Diploma in Film Direction or equivalent from a recognized University or Institute (iii) At least three years professional experience as film director and/or teaching experience in Film Direction/Film History in reputed organization or institution.
Scale of Pay : PB Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Grade pay Rs. 5400/- + MGS Rs. 38,970/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 37 years. Relaxable upto 42 years in case of exceptional candidates.

6. Purchase Officer :
No of Post : 01 UR post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : (i) Degree or Diploma in Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. At least 5 years’ (for degree holders) / 7 years’ (for diploma holders) experience in the purchase of Engineering stores in a large Govt. Office/ Public Sectors / undertakings/ reputed manufacturing or marketing organization of engineering goods of repute.
Scale of Pay : PB Rs. 9300 to 34800/- Grade pay Rs. 4600/- + MGS Rs. 30441/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 32 years. Relaxable upto 05 years terms of O.M.

7. Set Supervisor :
No of Post : 01 UR post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : (i) Degree or Diploma in Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.  At least 5 years’ (for degree holders) / 7 years’ (for diploma holders) experience in the purchase of Engineering stores in a large Govt. Office/ Public Sectors / undertakings/ reputed manufacturing or marketing organization of engineering goods of repute.
Scale of Pay : PB Rs. 9300 to 34800/- Grade pay Rs. 4600/- + MGS Rs. 30441/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 32 years. Relaxable upto 05 years terms of O.M.

8. Assistant Maintenance Engineer :
No of Post : 01 UR post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : (i) Degree or Diploma in Electronics or Electrical Engineering or equivalent of a recognized University or Institute. At least 4 year’s (for Degree Holders) / 6 years (for Diploma Holders) experience of maintenance and repair of electrical and
electronic equipment, preferably in Film or TV Studio.
Scale of Pay : PB Rs. 9300 to 34800/- Grade pay Rs. 4200/- + MGS Rs. 24,4351/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 32 years. Relaxable upto 05 years terms of O.M.
