Union Public Service Commission, UPSC, Applications in the prescribed forms are invited for direct recruitment to the following posts by 27th January, 2011 (3rd February, 2011 far flung areas).
 
I. Assistant Professor (Geography) :
No of Post : 01 posts in IMA, Ministry of Defence.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Good academic record with at least 55% marks. Master’s Degree level in Geography from any recognized University in India or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Gradee pay Rs. 6000/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 40 years.

II. Assistant Professor (Mathematics) :
No of Post : 01 posts in IMA, Ministry of Defence.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Good academic record with at least 55% marks. Master’s Degree level in Mathematics from any recognized University in India or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Gradee pay Rs. 6000/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 40 years.

III. Assistant Professor (Political Science) :
No of Post : 01 posts in IMA, Ministry of Defence.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Good academic record with at least 55% marks. Master’s Degree level in Political Science from any recognized University in India or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Gradee pay Rs. 6000/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 40 years.

IV. Assistant Professor (Histrory) :
No of Post : 01 posts in IMA, Ministry of Defence.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Good academic record with at least 55% marks. Master’s Degree level in Histrory from any recognized University in India or an equivalent degree from a foreign University.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Gradee pay Rs. 6000/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 40 years.

V. Assistant Director (Cost) :
No of Post : 04 posts in Ministry of Finance.
Essential Qualification & Experience : A qualification recognized for enrolment in the Register of Members of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India or of the Institute of Cost & Works Accountants of India or equivalent.
Desirable : i) Degree of a recognized University or equivalent. ii) Three years’ experience in Cost Accounting Work.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 + Gradee pay Rs. 5400/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 40 years for SC/ST candidates and not exceeding 38 years for OBC candidates.

VI. Assistant Diretor Gr.II (Non-Technical) :
No of Post : 03 posts in, Ministry of Textiles.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
Experience : Three years’ experience of administration, accounts and establishment work in a supervisory capacity in a Government Office or a Public Body or a Commercial Organization of repute. Desirable : Knowledge of Government rules and regulations.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 + Gradee pay Rs. 4600/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years.
