Visva Bharati Santiniketan, VBS, an institution of national importance, invites applications from Indian nationals for the following positions: Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor

1. Professor :
No of post : 23 Posts
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 45 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-4 Rs. 37400 to 67000/- Plus AGP Rs. 10000/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : An eminent scholar with Ph.D. qualification in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline and published work of high quality, actively engaged in research with evidence of published work with a minimum of 10 publications as books and / or research papers. A minimum of ten years of teaching experience in university/college and / or experience in research at the University / National level institutions / industries including experience of guiding candidates for research at doctoral level.

2. Associate Professor :
No of post : 21 Posts
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 40 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-4 Rs. 37400 to 67000/- Plus AGP Rs. 9000/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. degree in concerned allied. A Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed. A minimum of eight years of experience of teaching and / or research in an academic / research position equivalent.

3. Assistant Professor :
No of post : 10 Posts
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 35 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-3 Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Plus AGP Rs. 6000/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Good academic record* as defined by the University with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) at Master’s Degree level in relevant subject or an equivalent degree from an Indian / Foreign University.

Fees/Application Fee:
a) For posts with AGP of Rs 9000 and 10,000/- : Rs. 800/- b) For posts with AGP of Rs. 6000/- and GP of Rs 5400 : Rs. 400/- SC/ST, Women candidates and Differently Abled are exempt from above application fee. Attested copy of certificate issued by appropriate authority is to be submitted by Differently Abled candidate for such concession / exemption.
