The West Bengal University of Health Sciences, WBUHS, Applications are invited from Citizens of India for filling up of the under mentioned posts in “College of Medicine and J.N.M Hospital,West Bengal University of Health Sciences”, an autonomous institution of The West Bengal University of Health Sciences for filling up of the under mentioned posts:
 
I. Principal/Director : No of Post : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs. 37400 – Rs. 67000 grade pay Rs. 10000, Essential Qualification : Should possess the recognized post graduate medical qualification and other academic qualification from a recognized institution with a minimum of ten years teaching experience as professor/Associate professor/Reader in a medical college/inst. out of which at lest five years should be as Professor in a department. Preference for these appointments will be given to the Heads of the Department. Age Limit : Upto 63 years as on 30.9.2009.
II. Medical Superintendent : No of Post : 01 post, Pay Scale : Rs. 37400 – Rs. 67000 grade pay Rs. 9500, Essential Qualification : Should possess a recognized post graduate medical qualification from a recognized institution with 10 years administrative experience. M.B.B.S with Master in Hospital Administration and having 10 years of administrative experience may be given preference. Age Limit : Upto 63 years as on 30.9.2009.
III. Professor : No of Post : 05 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 37400 – Rs. 67000 Grade Pay Rs. 9500, Essential Qualification : As reader/Associate Professor in the concerned Department for four years in a recognized medical college. Age Limit : Upto 63 years as on 30.9.2009.
IV. Associate Professor : No of Post : 12 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 9000 – Rs. 40500 Grade pay Rs. 8000, Essential Qualification : As Assistant Professor/Lecturer in the concerned Department for Five years in a recognized medical college. Age Limit : Upto 63 years as on 30.9.2009.
V. Assistant Professor : No of Post : 20 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 9000 – Rs. 40500 Grade pay Rs. 7000, Essential Qualification :  1.  Requisite recognized post graduate qualification in the subject. 2. Three years teaching experience in the subject in a recognized Medical college as Resident / Demonstrator/ Tutor. Age Limit : Upto 63 years as on 30.9.2009.
VI. Tutor / Demonstrator : No of Post : 21 posts, Pay Scale : Rs. 9000 – Rs. 40500 AGP Rs. 5400, Essential Qualification : MBBS degree from a recognized institution. Non – medical persons having M.Sc in Medical Anatomy, Medical Physiology & Medical Biochemistry may also apply. Age Limit : Upto 63 years as on 30.9.2009
VII. Sr. Residents : No of Post : 14 posts, Scale of Pay : Consolidated pay of Rs. 24360/-, Essential Qualification : Appointments will be given initially for a period of 1 year which may be extendable upto 3 years. Age Limit : Upto 63 years as on 30.9.2009.
VIII. Jr. Residents : No of Post : 24 posts, Scale of Pay : Consolidated pay of Rs. 19793/-, Essential Qualification : Appointments will be given initially for a period of 6 months which may be extendable upto 1 year. Age Limit : Upto 63 years as on 30.9.2009.
