Government of India, Department of Space, Asia’s First Space University was estabilished in September 2007. Administrative Officer, VSSC Campus, ISRO Post,Thumba, Thiruvananthapuram. IIST is looking for bright and highly motivated faculty at the level of Assistant Professors in te following Subjects areas:

1. Aerospace Engineering : 08 posts, Qualification: B.E., M.Tech & Ph.D.in Mechanical Engineering / Aerospace Engineerig / Civil Engineering . Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.7600/-, Maximum Age Liumit: 40 years.
2. Avionics : 06 posts, Qualification: B.E., M.Tech & Ph.D.in Electrical Engineering. Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.7600/-, Maximum Age Liumit: 40 years.
3. Remote Sensing : 02 posts, Qualification: M.Tech & Ph.D.in Remote Sensing. Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.7600/-, Maximum Age Liumit: 40 years.
4. Theoritical Astrophysics : 01 post, Qualification: M.Sc. in Physics & Ph.D.in Astrophysics, Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.7600/-, Maximum Age Liumit: 40 years.
5. Chemistry : 01 post, Qualification: M.Sc. in Physical / Theoretical Chemistry  & Ph.D, Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.7600/-, Maximum Age Liumit: 40 years.
6. Mathematics : 01 post, Qualification: M.Sc. and Ph.D. In Mathmatics. Pay Scale : Rs.15600-39100 Grade Pay Rs.7600/-, Maximum Age Liumit: 40 years.
