Tezpur University was established by an Act of Parliament in 1994. The objects of this Central University as envisaged in the statutes are that it shall strive to offer employment oriented and interdisciplinary courses to meet the regional to national aspirations and the development of the state of Assam and also offer courses and promote research in areas which are of special and direct relevance to the region and in the emerging areas in Science and Technology. Tezpur University invited for the following teaching posts in various departments:
A. Professor: 10 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.16400-22400/- pay bands carry other allowances admissible as per Government of India rules. Qualifications & experience: An eminent scholar in the relevant subject(s) with published work of high quality, actively engaged in research, with 10 (ten) years of experience in postgraduate teaching, and/or experience in research at the University / National Level institutions, including experience of guiding research at doctorate level.
B. Associate Professor: 17 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.12000-18300/- pay bands carry other allowances admissible as per Government of India rules. Qualifications & experience: 1. Ph.D. degree in appropriate branch of study with First Class degree at Bachelors or Masters level.
2. Three (03) years experience in Teaching / Industry / Research at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent after Ph.D. will be preferred.
C. Assistant Professor: 18 posts, Pay Scale : Rs.8000-13500/- pay bands carry other allowances admissible as per Government of India rules. Qualifications & experience: 1. Ph.D. degree or a Fellowship of IIMs, ICA or ICWA with First Class Masters degree in Business Management / Administration / other relevant management related discipline.
2. Two (08) years experience in Teaching / Industry / Research, out of which 5 (five) years must be at the level of Assistant Professor and/or equivalent.
