Indian Institute of Technology, IIT, Ropar invites applications from Indian Nationals, Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) and Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), who are exceptionally bright and motivated, with an established record of independent, high quality research and commitment to teaching for faculty positions in all disciplines of interest to the Institute in the departments of Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Humanities & Social Sciences.
 
1. Professor : Scale of Pay : Rs. 18400-500-22400/-, Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a Minimum 10 years of Teaching/ Research/ Industrial experience of which at least 5 years should be at thelevel of Associate Professor/ Assistant Professor or equivalent. Age Limit : Preferably below 35 years of age.
2. Associate Professor : Scale of Pay : Rs. 16400-450-20000/-, Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a Minimum 8 years of Teaching/ Research/ Industrial experience of which at least 3 yearsshould be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent. Age Limit : Preferably below 35 years of age.
3. Assistant Professor : Scale of Pay : Rs. 12000-420-18300/-, Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least three years of Teaching/ Research/ Industrial experience. Age Limit : Preferably below 35 years of age.
