National Institute of Abiotic Stress Management, NIASM, has been established by Govt. of India during XIth plan with a mandate to undertake basic & applied research on abiotic stress management of food, horticultural & plantation crops, animal and fishery in the ever changing global climate and environment. In pursuance of this mandate the Director, NIASM invites applications from the young, talented eligible candidates for filling up of Technical posts of T-6 at NIASM Headquarters, Baramati, Pune, Maharashtra. The posts are of permanent nature and at present are filled on temporary basis. The appointee will be made permanent on completion of satisfactory probation. Selection/Recruitment shall be made on the basis of written examination followed by the personal interview. post : Farm Technician, Farm Officer, Laboratory Technician, Technical Officer, Workshop Technician, Library, Information Technology, Documentation Technician

A. Field/ Farm Technician – Technical Officer (T-6) : In Discipline are (Soil Science & Agriculture Chemistry-UR 01 post, Soil & Water Conservation Engineering-UR 01 post, Soil Physics / Soil & Water Conservation-UR 01 post, Soil Science-OBC 01 post, Horticulture-UR 01 post, Fishery Science-ST 01 post, Agricultural Economics-SC 01 post, Agrometeorology-OBC 01 post, Agronomy-SC 01 post)

B. Laboratory Technician – Technical Officer (T-6) : In Discipline are (Plant Biotechnology-UR 01 post, Computer Science/Applications-UR 01 post, Seed Science & Technology-OBC 01 post, Plant Physiology-UR 01 post, Organic / Inorganic / Bio / Analytical Chemistry-UR 01 post).

C. Workshop Technician – Technical Officer (T-6) : In Discipline is (Farm Machinery & Power-UR 01 post)

D. Library/Information/Documentation Technician – T-6 : In Discipline is (Librarian-UR 01 post)

All Total No of post : 16 Posts
Age Limit : Up to 35 years with relaxation for SC, ST, OBC and PH as prescribed by Govt. of India.
Scale of Pay : PB-III Rs. 15600 to 39100/- per month with a Grade Pay of Rs. 5400/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : The essential qualification for each post is Master’s Degree in the relevant subject.
