Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, HPPSC, Applications are invited from the citizens of India for the post (s) in different Departments of H.P., Candidate Intereted may apply for the following posts :
 
i. Senior Planning Draughtsman, Class-II (Non-Gazetted.) :
No of Post : 01 post,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 45 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : B. Tech. Degree in Urban / City / Town/ Regional Planning or its equivalent from a recognized University recognized or from an Institute duly recognized by the Central/ H.P. Government.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 6400 to 10640/- per month.

ii. Assistant Geologist Class-I(Gazetted), on contract basis :
No of Post : 01 post,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 45 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : (i) M.Sc. Degree in Geology or applied Geology from a recognized University or its equivalent Or Diploma in applied Geology from the Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad. (ii) 02 years practical experience in the field.
Scale of Pay : Fixed emoluments of Rs. 10830/- per month.

iii. Principal (B Pharmacy College ) Class-1,( Gazetted) :
No of Post : 01 post,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 45 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D Degree with first class either at Bachelor’s Master’s level in the appropriate branch of specialization in pharmacy with 10 years experience in Teaching/Industry/Research out of which 05 years must be at the level of Professor or equivalent.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 18400 to 22400/- per month.

iv. Assistant Engineer (Mechanical), Class-1,Gazetted on contract basis :
No of Post : 01 post,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 45 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Recognized Degree in Mechanical Engineering or its equivalent. Experience of working in Design/ Construction in hilly areas and knowledge of custom, manner and dialects of H.P. and suitability for working in peculiar condition of the Pradesh.
Scale of Pay : Fixed Emoluments i.e. Basic pay Rs. 8500/- + 50% D.P.
 
v. Assistant Engineer (Civil), Class-1,Gazetted on contract basis :
No of Post : 01 post,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 45 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Recognized Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent. Experience of working in Design/ Construction in hilly areas. and knowledge of custom, manner and dialects of H.P. and suitability for working in peculiar condition of the Pradesh.
Scale of Pay : Fixed Emoluments i.e. Basic pay Rs. 8500/- + 50% D.P.
 
vi. Assistant Engineer (Electrical), Class-1,Gazetted on contract basis :
No of Post : 04 posts,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 45 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Recognized Degree in Electrical Engineering ( EE) / Degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE) or its equivalent from recognized Institute /University.
Scale of Pay : Fixed Emoluments i.e. Basic pay Rs. 8500/- + 50% D.P.
 
vii. Director, Sainik Welfare, Class-1,( Gazetted), on contract basis : No of Post : 01 post,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 45 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : (i) should be a retired/ released Ex- Indian commissioned officer not below the rank of Brigadier or equivalent status of the Indian Navy/ Air Force failing which a retired/ Released Col. from the Army or equivalent rank of Indian Navy/ AirForce. (ii) The Director General Resettlement or a Member thereof to be nominated by him is to be one of the members of Committee for selection of Director Sainik Welfare.
Scale of Pay : Consolidated Fixed contractual amount @ Rs. 24000/ P.M (Rs. 15600 + 8400) per month.

viii. Assistant Area Manager/Assistant Procurement officer Class-I, On contract basis :
No of Post : 03 posts,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 45 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Graduate with at least 05 years experience in the field of procurement, distribution, personal matters and maintenance of accounts of commercial concern or MBA with at least two years experience in commercial concern.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 10300 to 34800 + Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- initial Pay Rs. 18450/- per month.

ix. Agriculture Development Officer (on contract basis) :
No of Post : 20 posts,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 45 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.Sc. (Agriculture) under four years Programme and M.Sc. (Agriculture) 2nd Class from a College/ University recognized by the State / Central Government/ICAR.
Scale of Pay : Contractual Emoluments: Rs. 10,830/- per month.

x. Veterinary Officer ( on contract basis) :
No of Post : 68 posts,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 45 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : i) Should possess a degree of B.V. Sc. And A.H. Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry) from a recognized University as laid down under the Indian Veterinary Council Act, 1984( Act No.52 of 1984) ii) Should be registered with the State veterinary Council under the Indian Veterinary Council Act,1984 (Act no 52 of 1984).
Scale of Pay : Contractual emoluments: Rs. 21000 to 15600 + Grade Pay Rs 5400/- per month.

xi. Pracharya (Sanskrit College) on regular basis :
No of Post : 01 post,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 45 years as on 01.01.2010.
Essential Qualification & Experience : should possess Acharya a Degree or its equivalent with at least 55% marks from a recognized or an equivalent degree from a foreign university with at least 55% marks duly recognized by Government of India.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 12000 to 18300/- per month. ( Pre- Revised)

Applications in the prescribed format complete in all respects should be send To the Secretary, Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission, Nigam Vihar, Shimla-171002, on or before 30.06.2010.by 5.00 P.M. and far-flung areas is 15.07.2010.

Fees : Bank draft in favour of Secretary, H.P. Public Service Commission for Rs. 250/- only, (Rs.63/- for SC/ST/OBC of H.P.only), payable at Shimla to the Secretary ,HPPSC, Nigam Vihar , Shimla-171002 (HP). Ex-servicemen unless discharged at their own request before completion of normal tenure, are exempted from payment of application fee. Visually handicapped candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
