Union Public Service Commission, UPSC, invites application on prescribed forms for various posts in various Government of India Ministries and Departments.
 
i. Seed Processing Engineer :
No of Post : 01 post in National Seed Research and Training Centre, Varanasi, Department of Agriculture and Co-operation, Ministry of Agriculture.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor of Engineering(Agriculture) or Bachelor of Technology(Agriculture) from a recognized University or equivalent. Five years’ experience in Managing Seed processing plant and aspects of Management and operation of post harvest equipments.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600-39100 + Rs. 6600 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 40 years as on 10-06-2010.
   
ii. Assistant Director (Oil & Fats) :
No of Post : 01 post in Directorate of Marketing & Inspection, Department of Agriculture and Co-operation, Ministry of Agriculture.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s degree in Chemistry/Agricultural Chemistry / Dairying with Dairy Chemistry / Oil Technology / Food Technology of a recognized University or equivalent. Three years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in analytical work.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600-39100 + Rs. 5400 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years as on 10-06-2010.

iii. Assistant Registrar of Trade Marks & Geographic Indications :
No of Post : 06 posts in Office of Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, Ministry of Commerce & Industries.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Law of a recognized University or equivalent. Five years’ practice as a legal practitioner or five years’ experience in a State Judicial Service.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600-39100 + Rs. 6600 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 40 years as on 10-06-2010.

iv. Deputy Registrar of Trade Marks & Geographic Indications :
No of Post : 02 posts in Office of Controller General of Patents, Designs and Trade Marks, Ministry of Commerce & Industries.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Law of a recognized University or equivalent. ii) Ten years’ practice as a legal practitioner or ten years’ experience in a State Judicial Service or in a Legal Department of a State Government or in the Central Government.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600-39100 + Rs. 7600 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 50 years as on 10-06-2010.

v. Senior Scientific Officer, Gr.II (Mechanica) :
No of Post : 01 post in  Directorate General of Aeronautical Quality Assurance, Ministry of Defence, Defence Aeronautical Quality Assurance Service.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. Two years’ practical experience in production development.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600-39100 + Rs. 5400 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 38 years as on 10-06-2010.
 
vi. Junior Work Managers (Metallurgical) :
No of Post : 05 posts in Ordnance Factory Board, Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Metallurgical Engineering / Technology or equivalent from a recognized University.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300-34800 + Rs. 4600 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Between 21 to 30 years as on 10-06-2010.

vii. Repographic Officer :
No of Post : 02 posts in Joint Cipher Bureau, Department of Defence (R&D), Ministry of Defence.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Diploma in Printing Technology from a recognized University / Institution or equivalent. Four years’ experience including two years’ in supervisory capacity in a printing house or a Government printing establishment.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300-34800 + Rs. 4200 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years as on 10-06-2010.
 
viii. Legel Officer Gr.II :
No of Post : 01 post in Legal & Treaties Division, Ministry of External Affairs.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s degree in Law with specialization in the field of International Law and/or International Relations or International Organizations of a recognized University or equivalent. Five years’ experience in Legal Affairs, namely, Legal Practitioner, teaching.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600-39100+Rs. 6600 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 43 years as on 10-06-2010.
 
ix. Technical Officers (Forestry)  Gr. II :
No of Post : 04 posts in Ministry of Environment & Forests.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s degree in Statistics or Operations research or Economics with Statistics or Commerce with Statistics or Mathematics with Statistics or Agriculture with Statistics from a recognized Institute / University or equivalent. Three years’ experience in collection / compilation / analysis of data in Agriculture or Forestry.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300-34800 + Rs. 4600 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years as on 10-06-2010.

x. Deputy Director of Mines Safety (Electrical) :
No of Post : 30 posts in Directorate General of Mines Safety, Ministry of Labour & Employment.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent. B. Experience : Ten years’ professional experience in generation, transmission or distribution of electricity.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600-39100 + Rs. 7600 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 40 years as on 10-06-2010.

xi. Training Officer (Turner) :
No of Post : 01 post in the Directorate General of Employment & Training, Ministry of Labour & Employment.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Machine Tool Technology / Production Engineering from a recognized University / Institute or equivalent; and ii) Two years’ post qualification experience in a workshop engaged in Production / Maintenance / Servicing in the area of Turning / Machining or Teaching / Training in a Technical Institute.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300-34800 + Rs. 4600 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years as on 10-06-2010.

xii. Training Officer (Embroidery) :
No of Post : 01 post in the Directorate General of Employment & Training, Ministry of Labour & Employment.
Essential Qualification & Experience : 12th pass under 10+2 system of a recognized Board or equivalent. ii) National Trade Certificate awarded by National Council for Vacational Training in Embroidery Trade.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 6500-200-10500 T.E. Rs. 14333/- per month.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years as on 10-06-2010.

xiii. Superintending Mining Geologist :
No of Post : 01 post in Indian Bureau of Mines, Ministry of Mines.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s degree in Geology or Applied Geology from a recognized University or equivalent. Ten years experience in Supervisory capacity in geological appraisal / exploration of mineral deposits.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37400-67000 + 8700 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 53 years as on 10-06-2010.

xiv. Nautical Surveyors :
No of Post : 06 posts in Directorate General of Shipping, Ministry of Shipping.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Certificate of Competency(Master foreign going) with 8 years service as Deck Officer of which one year must have been in the capacity of a Chief Officer on a foreign going ship OR M.Sc Degree in Maritime Affairs.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600-39100 + Rs. 7600 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 50 years as on 10-06-2010.

xv. Associate Town and Country Planner :
No of Post : 01 post in Town and Country Planning Organisation, Ministry of Urban Development.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Post-Graduate Degree / Diploma in Town / City / Urban / Regional Planning of a recognized University or Institution or equivalent. Seven years’ experience in Town / City / Urban / Regional planning.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600-39100 + Rs. 6600 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 45 years as on 10-06-2010.

xvi. Microphotographist :
No of Post : 02 posts in National Archieves of India, Ministry of Culture.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s degree in Physics from a recognized University or equivalent; and Two years’ experience of work in Reprographics. OR B- i) Bachelor’s Degree in Physics / Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent; and ii) Five years’ experience of work in Reprographics.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300-34800 + Rs. 4600 Grade pay.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years as on 10-06-2010.
