UNION PUBLIC SERVICE COMMISSION INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR THE FOLLOWING POSTS
 
1. Botanists in Botanical Survey of India, Ministry of Environment & Forests
No of Post: 07, one post each is reserved for ST  & OBC candidates
Essential Qualification & Experience: i) M.Sc Degree in Botany of a recognized University or equivalent.  ii) Experinece of Research in Taxonomy including Cytotaxonomy

2. Junior Interpreter(Arabic) in the Interpreters’ Cadre of the Ministry of External Affairs.
No of Post: 01, OBC candidate
Essential Qualification & Experience: A- Master’s degree in the Arabic language with English as a compulsory/Elective subject at degree level from a recognized University or equivalent.  OR  B- i) A degree in the Arabic language with English as a compulsory/ Elective subject from  a recognized University or equivalent ; and ii) Two years’ experience as a Translator/Interpreter in the Arabic language to English/Hindi and vice-versa or in teaching the Arabic language.

3. Junior Interpreter(Chinese) in the Interpreters’ Cadre of the Ministry of External Affairs.
No of Post: 01
Essential Qualification & Experience: A- Master’s degree in the Chinese language with English as a compulsory/Elective subject at degree level from a recognized University or equivalent.  OR  B- i) A degree in the Chinese language with English as a compulsory/ Elective subject from  a recognized University or equivalent ; and ii) Two years’ experience as a Translator/Interpreter in the Chinese language to English/Hindi and vice-versa or in teaching the Chinese language.

4. Junior Interpreter(German) in the Interpreters’ Cadre of the Ministry of External Affairs.
No of Post: 01
Essential Qualification & Experience: A- Master’s degree in the German language with English as a compulsory/Elective subject at degree level from a recognized University or equivalent.  OR  B- i) A degree in the German language with English as a compulsory/ Elective subject from  a recognized University or equivalent ; and ii) Two years’ experience as a Translator/Interpreter in the German language to English/Hindi and vice-versa or in teaching the German language.

5. Junior Interpreter(Persian) in the Interpreters’ Cadre of the Ministry of External Affairs.

Essential Qualification & Experience: A- Master’s degree in the Persian language with English as a compulsory/Elective subject at degree level from a recognized University or equivalent.  OR  B- i) A degree in the Persian language with English as a compulsory/ Elective subject from  a recognized University or equivalent ; and ii) Two years’ experience as a Translator/Interpreter in the Persian language to English/Hindi and vice-versa or in teaching the Persian language.

6. Training Officer, CIRTES, Noida, Directorate General of Employment & Training, Ministry of Labour & Employment.
No of Post: 01
Essential Qualification & Experience: Master’s degree in Psychology or in Education of a recognized University or equivalent.  B. Experience :  Three years’ experience in Vocational Guidance and Employment Counselling.  Desirable :  i) Experience in teaching. ii) Familiarity with the employment service. iii)Should have taken a paper in ‘Guidance ’ in Master’s degree Course in Psychology or in Education or Diploma in Guidance.

7. Senior Assistant Controllers of Mines in Indian Bureau of Mines, Ministry of Mines
No of Post: 02
Essential Qualification & Experience: A. Educational :  Degree in Mining Engineering from a recognized University or equivalent.  B. Experience :  Five years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in metalliferous mines or in a Govt. Department dealing with metalliferious mines. Desirable :  i) Post Graduate degree in Mining Engineering from a recongized University or equivalent.  ii) working knowledge of computers with special emphasis on commonly used software in offices

Scale of Pay:
a) Rs.15600-39100+Rs.6600(Grade pay)  (T.E. Rs. 28194)  Group ‘A’   Gazetted for the posts at S.No.7 above.
b) Rs.15600-39100+Rs.5400(Grade pay)  (T.E. Rs. 26670)  Group ‘A’  Gazetted for the posts at S.Nos.2,3,4,5 & 6 above
c) Rs.9300-34800+Rs.4600(Grade pay) (T.E. Rs.17653)Group ‘B’ Gazetted  for the posts at S.No.1  above.
