Orissa Public Service Commission, OPSC, Applications in the prescribed form are invited from the prospective candidates for recruitment of Insurance Medical Officer in Junior Class-I (Group-A) of Orissa E.S.I. Medical Services Cadre under Labour & Employment Department. The posts are temporary and likely to be made permanent.
 
Insurance Medical Officer in Junior Class-I (Group-A) :
No of Post : 39 (thirty-nine) posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : A candidate must be a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) from any recognized university in the Indian Union or possess equivalent qualification or be a holder of a registrable medical qualification from a recognized medical college in United Kingdom.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15,600 to 39,100/- plus grade pay Rs. 5,400/- with usual dearness and other allowances.
Age Limit : A candidate must be under 32 (thirty-two) years and above 21 (twenty-one) years of age on the 1st January, 2010. The upper age limit is relaxable by 5(five) years for candidates belonging to Socially & Educationally Backward Classes (S.E.B.C.), Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Women and Ex-Servicemen and by 10(ten) years for Physically Handicapped candidates (Orthopaedically Handicapped).

METHOD OF SELECTION : The selection of candidates for recruitment to the posts will be made on the basis of career assessment and viva voce. The Commission at their discretion may short-list the candidates to a reasonable number, for conducting interview by making a preliminary selection either on the basis of evaluation of their academic career taking into account the requisite minimum educational qualification or by conducting a preliminary written test.

The closed envelope containing the application must be superscribed “Application for Insurance Medical Oficer”. by registered post/speed post/courier service to the Secretary, Orissa Public Service Commission, 19, Dr. P.K. Parija Road, Cuttack-753001, on or before 25.09.2010.

Fees : A candidate is required to pay a non-refundable and non-adjustable fee of Rs. 50/- (Rupees fifty) only either in shape of deposit of the amount in the Government Treasury under the Head “0051-P.S.C.-105-State P.S.C. Examination Fee”, or in the form of crossed Indian Postal Order payable to the Secretary, Orissa Public Service Commission at General Post Office, Cuttack or account payee bank draft or pay order drawn in favour of Secretary, Orissa Public Service Commission payable at any scheduled bank at Cuttack.
