The Indian Navy, Applications are invited to Become a Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officer in Education Branch Course Commencing – January 2010. Male and Female Indian Citizens, at NAVAC, INS Zamorin Ezhimala, Kerala. Candidates to fulfil condition of nationality as laid down by the Government of India.

Short Service Commissioned (SSC) Officer in Education Branch:
ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS:
Age Limit. Between 19 ½ to 25 years (Candidates to be born between 02 Jan 1985 to 01 Jul 1990; both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualifications: (a) BE/B Tech (or equivalent) from Recognised University or AMIE with minimum 55% marks in aggregate. Calculation for aggregate percentage should be based on total marks obtained in all the semesters (including I & II ), divided by total number of semesters, in any of the following disciplines :-
(a) Engineering Branch. Mechanical (b) Electrical Branch. (i) Electrical (ii) Electronics (iii) Telecommunications (iv) Control Engineering.
(b) A Post Graduate with minimum 50% marks in Physics or Mathematics. OR (c) A Master’s Degree in Computer Science (with Physics or Maths in B.Sc.), M.Sc. Chemistry, MA Eng., MA History OR (d) Master’s in Computer Application (MCA) (with Physics or Maths in B.Sc.) with miinimum 50% marks OR (e) Post Graduate in Operational analysis and Operational Research Quantitavie methods with minimum 75% marks. OR (f) Post Graduate in Mathematics with Probability or Statistics with minimum 75% marks.
Note: Candidates in 8th semester can also apply provided they have aggreegate of 55% marks till 7th semester.

Physical Fitness Standards :
Hight and Wieght : Minimum height Male – 157 cms and Female – 152 cms, Should have with correlated weight. Eye Sight – The minimum acceptable standard for distant vision 6/60, 6/60 connectable to 6/6, 6/12 with glasses and should not be colour/night blind.
