No. of Vacancy: (Spl. Tibetan Language and Studies)-1 post(SC), Law-1 post (ST), Physics-1 post(ST), Computer Science & Applications-2 posts (ST-1,BC-1), Mathematics-1post (ST), Chemistry-1 post(ST).
Scale of Pay: Rs.8,000-13,500/-
Qualification: (i) Good academic record with at least 55% (50% in case of SC/ST) marks in the subject or an equivalent grade of B+ at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a Foreign University.

Besides fulfilling the above qualification, the candidates must have cleared the eligibility test (NET/SET) for Lecturers conducted by the UGC, UGC-CSIR or similar tests accredited by the UGC. However, the candidates having Ph.D degree in the concerned subject are exempted from NET/SET.

Prescribed Application Forms along with details regarding qualifications etc for the posts may be obtained from the office of Registrar on payment of Rs.50/- for SC/ST/BC in cash at the University Cash Counter or by sending a self addressed envelope of 25 x 13 cms. affixed with stamp worth Rs.15/- accompanied by crossed Bank Draft of similar amount in favour of University of North Bengal payable at SBI, N.B.U. Campus Branch. Application Form may also be downloaded from our website www.nbu.ac.in. The downloaded filled in application form should be accompanied by requisite fee (Through Bank demand draft payable at SBI, N.B.U. Campus Branch drawn in favour of “University of North Bengal”)

Filled in Application Form in 8 (eight) sets each with attested copies of all necessary documents along with two self – addressed unstamped envelope of 25 x 13 cms. size must reach the Office of the Registrar, P.O. North Bengal University, Dist. Darjeeling, West Bengal, Pin-734013, on or before 15.09.2008.
