Applications on prescribed forms are invited from  the Indian citizen for the following posts. Age limit for all  posts  is 33 years ( relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC ) as on  10.6.2008

1. SENIOR RESIDENTS: 91 ( Ninety One) posts
Pay Scale : Rs.10940-355-11650 inclusive of NPA and PGA

2. JR./SENIOR DEMONSTRATORS (NON MEDICAL):   12  ( Tewelve ) posts
Pay Scale : Sr. Demonstrator (Medical)-Rs.10940-355-11650 inclusive of NPA & PGA
Pay Scale: Sr. Demonstrator (Non Medical) -Rs.9000-275-9550, Jr. Demonstrator – Rs.6500-200-6900

3. TUTOR  (MEDICAL) – Transfusion Medicine-  1 (One) post
Pay Scale: Rs.6500-6700-6900

4. SENIOR MEDICAL OFFICER For Casualty/Emergency  : 2 (Two) posts
Pay Scale : Rs.10940-355-11650 inclusive of NPA & PGA

Mode of Selection:
The written examination of 50 marks of the eligible candidates possessing the prescribed qualification (recognized by M.C.I.) etc. for the  above posts and within the age limit will be conducted on specified days i.e.  23.6.2008, 24.6.2008 & 25.6.2008 at 9.00 A.M. at  P. N. Chuttani Block (Research Block B), PGIMER, Chandigarh. The result of written examination shall be declared on the same day.    The candidates who clear the written examination will be assessed by a departmental committee. The number of candidates called for departmental assessment will be 3 times the number of seats available in that department.  The departmental assessment would consist of 30 marks and is based upon clinical evaluation/laboratory testing/ detailed structured viva. The departmental assessment of the candidate will be done on 24.6.2008, 25.6.2008 & 26.6.2008. The candidates will be required to appear for interview which consists of 20 marks before the Selection Committee on 25.6.2008, 26.6.2008 & 27.6.2008.

Application form and other information viz. selection procedure, qualification, experience and age limit etc. can be obtained from the Recruitment Cell, either personally or on written request accompanied  by  a self addressed stamped (Rs.10/-) envelop (27cm x 12 cm) alongwith Demand Draft of Rs.525/- (Rs.275/- for SC/ST candidates) payable at SBI (Code No.1524), Chandigarh, in favour of Director, PGIMER, as Non-refundable fee and cost of application form etc.

Fees:
A crossed Demand Draft of Rs.500/- (Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates) should be attached with application down loaded from Institute Website towards non-refundable application fee.
