In various hospitals across the state of West Bengal and Jharkhand, Damodar Valley Corporation, one of the premier power utilities in India engaged in Thermal / Hydel power Generation, Transmission & Distribution with its Head Quarters in Kolkata, invites applications from Indian citizens only for the post of Medical Officer for its various hospitals & dispensaries in different field formations spread across the state of West Bengal and Jharkhand. To fill up the said post, DVC is looking for young and promising medical professionals having good academic record to join the organization.
Medical Officer :
No of Post : 12 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : MBBS Degree recognized by the Medical Council of India (MCI) and obtained from a recognized Medical College/University & one year experience as a medical practitioner after internship.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 grade pay Rs. 5650/-,
Age Limit : Not to exceed 40 years as on 01-01-2010.
SELECTION PROCESS :
Eligible candidates will have to undergo a Selection Test, if so required, followed by Personal Interview of short listed candidates. Based on merit and vacancy requirement, the list of successful candidates for interview will be made available at http://www.dvc.gov.in.

Fees : Demand Draft of Rs. 300/-(three hundred only) in favour of “The Chief Accounts Officer, DVC, Kolkata” payable at Kolkata. However No application fee is needed for SC/ST/Departmental (DVC) candidates.

I have sent all documents & application for the post of Medical Officer through Speed Post.
The letter was sent & reach to its destiny before 19th April,2010.
I am SC Candidate.
But the authority refuse to take it.
I dont know why this is so ????????
from where I can know the real truth.
