National Institute of Rural Development, NIRD is the country’s apex body for undertaking teaching, training, research, action research and consultancy functions in several aspects of rural development. It provides an inter-disciplinary academic environment backed by excellent infrastructure including a specialized library and state-of-art computer facilities. The Institute broadly follows the UGC pay scales for academic positions. NIRD invites applications in the prescribed format for the following posts to be filled on Deputation basis for a period not exceeding three years on such terms and conditions governing the deputation in Govt. of India from time to time.
 
A. Assistant Registrar: 02 posts on deputation basis for three years, Scale of pay: Rs.15600 to 39100 + 6600 grade pay.
B. Assistant Financial Adviser & Pay and Accounts Officer (AFA&PAO): 01 Post on deputation basis for three years, Scale of Pay: Rs.15600 to 39100 + 6600 grade pay.
C. Deputy Director (Official Language): 01 post for Direct Recruitment, Scale of Pay: RS. 15600 to 39100 + 6600 grade pay.
D. Junior Engineer (Civil):  O1 post, (on normal deputation basis till December, 2010. Scale of pay:  Rs.9300 to 34800 + 4200 grade pay.
E. Junior Hindi Translator: 01 post, Reserved for SC category only, Scale of pay: Rs.9300 to 34800 + 4200 grade pay.
F. Nursing Orderly: 01 Post, Scale of Pay: Rs.4440-7440 plus Grade Pay Rs.1300.
