Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering & Research, SAMEER, is a Research & Development Institute under the Administrative control of Department of Information Technology, Ministry of Communications & Information Technology, Government of India. Its main objective is to promote the growth of Science and Technology of RF/Microwave Electronics, Medical Electronics, Electromagnetic, Opto-Electronics, Millimeter wave Technology and its allied areas. SAMEER has its headquarters at Mumbai and centers at Chennai, Kolkata and Navi Mumbai. SAMEER Mumbai needs on contractual basis qualified and experienced persons in various disciplines to work in the area of EMI/EMC Electromagnetic Interference and Electromagnetic Compatibility for its Navi Mumbai centre, Mumbai: The appointments are on contract basis for a period of two years .

1. Project Assistant :
No of post : 03 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Diploma in Electronics / Telecommunication Engineering or Radio Engineering from a recognized university/Institutions OR Candidate should be Diploma Holder in Electronics/ Telecommunication / Radio Engineering from reputed University with minimum 60% marks and should preferably have experience of one year in design and development of control systems.
Scale of Pay : Consolidated pay Rs. 10470/- with an increment of Rs. 700/- per year.
Age Limit : Maximum 30 years as on date of interview.

2. Research Scientist :
No of post : 02 posts,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Degree in Electronics/ Telecommunication / Instrumentation from a recognized university/Institutions OR Candidate should be degree holder (B.E. / B. Tech/ME/M Tech )in Electronics/ Telecommunication / Instrumentation  Engineering from reputed University with minimum 60% marks. Preference will be given to experienced candidates, who have worked in the area of design and development of PLC, embedded and electronic circuits.  
Scale of Pay : Consolidated pay Rs. 20250/- with an increment of Rs. 1000/- per year.
Age Limit : Maximum 30 years as on date of interview.

3. Research Scientist Mechanical Engineer :
No of post : 01 post,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Candidate should be degree holder (B.E. / B. Tech/ME/M Tech ) in Mechanical Engineering from reputed University with minimum 60% marks. Preference will be given to experienced candidates, who have worked in the area of designing of hardware using computer aided design tools. 
Scale of Pay : Consolidated pay Rs. 20250/- with an increment of Rs. 1000/- per year.
Age Limit : Maximum 30 years as on date of interview.

Applicants must produce completed application forms in all respects supported by attested copies of certificates of educational qualifications, mark sheets, experience and NOC from employer if working in Government departments, public sectors, autonomous organisations and Government funded research agencies at the time of interview. Walk-in interview will be held at SAMEER, IIT Campus, Powai, Mumbai-400076 on 12th March, 2011 for Research Scientist post and 13th March, 2011 for Project Assistant post 10.00 Hrs onwards.
