Government of India Sashastra Seema Bal, SSB, Applications are invited from male Indian citizens who fulfill the eligibility conditions for filling up the following posts in the SASHASTRA SEEMA BAL. The posts are temporary, but likely to be permanent in the pay scale as mentioned below against each post plus usual and admissible allowances to Central Government employees. The posts have all India liability and selected candidates can be posted anywhere in India and even abroad.
 
i. Inspector (Telecom) : 01 post, Pay Scale : PB-2 Rs.9300 to 34800 Grade Pay Rs.4600, Essential Qualification : B.E. in Electronics Or M.Sc. in Physics with Electronics or Telecommunication Or B.Sc. in Physics, Math. & Chemistry with 3 years diploma in Electronics Or Telecommunication from a recognized Govt. institute. Age Limit : Inspector age must be in between 22-26 years as on 31.07.2009.
ii. Sub-Inspector (Telecom) : 12 posts, Pay Scale : PB-2 Rs.9300 to 34800 Grade Pay Rs.4200, Essential Qualification : Degree in Electronics Or Telecommunication Or Science with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized University Or Institute Or equivalent. Age Limit : age must be in between 18-25 years as on 31.07.2009.
iii. Sub-Inspector (Pioneer) : 08 posts, Pay Scale : PB-2 Rs.9300 to 34800 Grade Pay Rs.4200, Essential Qualification : (i) Should have passed 10+2 (With science subjects) or equivalent from a recognized Board. (ii) University Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institution. Age Limit : age must be in between 20-25 years as on 31.07.2009.
iv. ASI (Telecom) : 13 posts, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs.5200 to 20200/- Grade Pay Rs.2800, Essential Qualification : i) Matric with Diploma in Electronics Or Telecommunication from an Institution recognized by the State Government or equivalent; ii) 10+2 Or Intermediate with aggregate marks of fifty percent with selective subject being Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized Board or Institution or equivalent. Age Limit : age must be in between 20-25 years as on 31.07.2009.
v. Head-Constable (Electrician) : 01 post, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs.5200 to 20200/- Grade Pay Rs.2400, Essential Qualification : i) 10+2 or Matric or equivalent from a recognized board.
ii) Certificate/Diploma in the trade of Electrician from a Govt. recognized Institution/ Industrial Training Institutes. Age Limit : age must be in between 18-25 years as on 31.07.2009.
vi. Head-Constable (Workshop) : 33 posts, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs.5200 to 20200/- Grade Pay Rs.2400, Essential Qualification : i) Matriculation with Diploma in Automobile Engineering or two years certificate in National Trade of Mechanic Motor Vehicle from a recognized Industrial Training Institute or Institution under the Crafts- man training scheme of the Ministry of Labour. ii) Two years experience in authorised Garage desirable. iii) Must possess valid driving license for heavy vehicles. Age Limit : age must be in between 18-24 years as on 31.07.2009.
vii. Head-Constable (Telecomm) : 346 posts, Pay Scale : PB-1 Rs.5200 to 20200/- Grade Pay Rs.2400, Essential Qualification : Matric or equivalent with two years I.T.I. Certificate in Electronics Or Intermediate/ 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics from a recognized board or institution or equivalent. Age Limit : age must be in between 18-23 years as on 31.07.2009.
viii. ASI (Pharmacist) : 18 posts, Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs.5200 to 20200/- Grade Pay Rs.2800, Essential Qualification : i) Matriculation or equivalent. ii) Diploma or Degree in Pharmacy granted by an Institution of the Central & State Govt. or an Institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. iii) Should be registered as a “Pharmacist” under the Pharmacy Act, 1948. Age Limit : age must be in between 20-30 years as on 31.07.2009.
ix. ASI (Lab. Technician) : 27 posts, Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs.5200 to 20200/- Grade Pay Rs.2800, Essential Qualification : i) Matriculation with Science as a subject or equivalent and; ii) Diploma or certificate in Medical Laboratory Technology granted by an Institution of the Central or State Govt. or an Institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. and; iii) Not less than 2 years experience in Laboratory work at an institution recognized by the Central or State Govt. Age Limit : age must be in between 20-28 years as on 31.07.2009.
x. ASI (Steno) : 09 posts, Pay Scale: PB-1 Rs.5200 to 20200/- Grade Pay Rs.2800, Essential Qualification : (a) Senior Secondary School Certificate (10+2) examination or Intermediate or equivalent examination of a recognized Board/ University Or (b) Matriculation with three years “Diploma in Secretarial Practice or Modern Office Practice or Commercial Practice from a recognized Board of Technical Education. (c) Should have basic Knowledge in computer application. Age Limit : age must be in between 18-25 years as on 31.07.2009.

Prescribed proforma with attested passport size photographs duly affixed on the application form and admit card duly completed in all respect, on or before 31.08.2009 to the Commandant, 25th (Sashastra Seema Bal), Battalion, Ghitorni, P.O. Arjungarh, New Delhi-110047. The envelope containing the application should be super -scribing in block letters as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF ……………… ……………POST CODE NO”…………… . Two postage stamps worth Rs.6/- each should also be attached with the application form.

Fees: Rs.50/- for OBD candidates & Gen. in favour of Commandant, 25th (SSB) Bn. Ghitorni, New Delhi (Payable at New Delhi). No fee will be charged from SC/ST/Ex-Servicemen.
