National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research, NCDIR, Indian Council of Medical Research Department of Health Research, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India. Applications are invited upto 31st July 2014. The following project posts are to be filled up on purely temporary and ad-hoc basis under the Project on Setting up of Hospital Based Cancer Registries in Regional Cancer Centers under National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research-National Cancer Registry Programmer, Bangalore.

1. Research Scientist-I (Medical) :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 35 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 52,364/- Per Month Consolidated.
Essential Qualification & Experience : MBBS Degree recognized by MCI from a recognized University.
Desirable qualifications : (i) MD/MS Degree in Medicine / Surgery / P&SM, Pathology / Radiotherapy / Biochemistry / Pharmacology from a recognized University. (ii) Additional Post doctoral research / teaching experience in the relevant subjects in recognized institute(s). (iii) Knowledge of Computer Applications.

2. Programmer :
No of post : 02 Posts
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 28 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 30,810/- Per Month Consolidated.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Three Years Graduate Degree in Information Technology / Information Science / Computer Science / Electronics with Computer Applications as one of the major subjects or equivalent from the Recognized University with three years experience in Developing Software Applications programmes for data disease data capture, Analysis, Data Base Management, Data Mining, Standardizing of archival data etc OR B.E. / B.Tech or equivalent Degree in Electronics / Computer Science / Information Technology / Information Science from a recognized University.
Desirable qualifications : At least 03 years experience in programming in SQL Server, Java Script, XML, AJAX, ASP.NET, VB.NET with knowledge of Crystal Reports, developing programmes for data processing, compilation etc.

3. Statistician :
No of post : 02 Posts
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 28 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 27,397/- Per Month Consolidated.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Three Years Graduate Degree in Mathematics with Statistics as one of the major subjects / Economics / Operational Research / Agriculture Statistics or equivalent with three years research experience in the above mentioned subjects or Two years Diploma in Computer Applications OR First Class Master’s or equivalent Degree in Statistics/ Bio-Statistics with spl. in Medical / Biostatistics from a recognized University.
Desirable qualifications : Knowledge of statistical related computer software like SPSS, EPI-INFO, EPI-STAT & application packages like MS-Office, Fox Pro. Familiarity with other programmes like VB, Crystal Reports, SQL Server, Oracle, ASP Programming/Java Script will be an advantage.

4. Data Entry Operator(Grade-A) :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 28 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 16,179/- Per Month Consolidated.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Three year graduate degree from a recognized university (with good command over spoken and written grammatical English) with knowledge of data entry work.
Desirable qualifications: (i) Speed of 8000 key depressions per hour & at least 03 years experience in operation of PC. (ii) Knowledge of DTP packages and use of software programmer will be an added qualification. (iii) Qualification in Stenography / maintenance of accounts, cashbook ledgers will be a major advantage.

5. Assistant :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 28 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 27,397/- Per Month Consolidated.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Candidates with three years Graduate degree from recognized university (2) Minimum five years working experience in the administration & accounts in Government / Semi Government / Autonomous Body / Organization.
Desirable qualifications : (1) Knowledge of Preparation of Budget, finalization of accounts, maintenance of cash book in double entry system, ledger etc. (2) Knowledge of Government rules governing Finance/ Accounts and Establishment matters and principles of audit of accounts (3) Experience in managing office and personnel files (4) Proficiency in office automation.
