The Punjab Public Service Commission Baradari Gardens, Patiala-147001 invites Applications from eligible candidates for recruitment to 212 posts of Medical Officer (General) in the Health and Family Welfare Department, Punjab.

1. General 106 Posts. 2. General Ex-servicemen/ Lineal Descendant of Ex-servicemen, Punjab 15 Posts. 3. General Physically Handicapped, Punjab 06 Posts. 4. General Sports Person, Punjab 05 Posts. 5. General Freedom Fighter, Punjab 02 Posts. 6. Scheduled Castes, Punjab 42 Posts (Out of these 42 posts 50% posts for Balmiki/ Mazhbi Sikh, Punjab if available). 7. Scheduled Castes Ex-servicemen, Punjab 09 Posts (Out of these 09 posts 4 for Balmiki/ Mazhbi Sikh, Punjab if available). 8. Scheduled Castes Sports Person, Punjab 02 Posts (Out of these 2 posts 1 for Balmiki/ Mazhbi Sikh, Punjab if available). 9. Backward Classes, Punjab 21 Posts. 10. Backward Classes Ex-servicemen, Punjab 04 Posts.

Scale of Pay: Rs.7880-13500 (with a start of Rs.8000/-).

Qualification : MBBS

Age : Candidate should not be below 22 years and above 35 years of age on the last date of submission of Application Forms. Upper age limit is also relaxable upto 40 years for Widows, Divorcees and certain other Categories of Women. Upper age limit is also relaxable upto 45 years for Physically Handicapped of Punjab.
