Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE, will be conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII on 16.02.2014. Candidates can apply only On-line for CTET-FEB 2014 on CBSE/CTET website.

Central Teacher Eligibility Test :
Eligibility Criteria : Minimum Educational Qualifications for becoming Teacher for Classes I-V (Primary Stage) : Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education). OR Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education.

DATE OF EXAMINATION :
1. 16.02.2014 PAPER – II AT 09.30 TO 12.00 HOURS, DURATION 2.30 HOURS
2. 16.02.2014 PAPER – I 14.00 TO 16.30 HOURS, DURATION 2.30 HOURS

Essential Qualification & Experience for Classes VI-VIII : Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4-year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. Special Education.

Fees for CTET-FEB 2014 Examination :
1. CATEGORY General/OBC Paper – I or Paper – II Rs. 500/- And Paper – I & II Rs. 800/-,
2. CATEGORY SC/ST/Diff. Abled Paper – I or Paper – II Rs. Rs. 250/-, And Paper – I & II Rs. Rs. 400/-, Service Charges & Service Tax as applicable will be charged extra by the Bank/Post Office.
