Indian Institute of Technology Indore, IIT, IIT Indore invites applications from outstanding, highly-motivated Indian nationals (and those of Indian origin / holding PIO cards) for faculty positions at the levels of Assistant Professor and Associate Professor for the School of Basic Sciences in the Discipline of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

1. Assistant Professor (On-contract) :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Between 35 to 40 yeara as on 07.10.2014.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- AGP Rs. 6000/- Per Month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : A minimum of 03 years of post-Ph.D. Research, teaching or industrial experience with proven record of research excellence through publications and/or patents.

2. Assistant Professor :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Between 35 to 40 yeara as on 07.10.2014.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- AGP Rs. 8000/- Per Month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : A minimum of 03 years of post-Ph.D. Research, teaching or industrial experience with proven record of research excellence through publications and/or patents.

3. Associate Professor : In the following areas. English- Postcolonial Theory, Critical and Cultural Studies. Philosophy- Social and Political Philosophy.
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Between 40 to 45 yeara as on 07.10.2014.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37400 to 67000/- AGP Rs. 9500/- Per Month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. with a first class or equivalent in terms of grades. A minimum of 03 years of post-Ph.D. research, teaching or industrial experience with proven record of research excellence through publications.

4. Professor :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Between 50 to 52 yeara as on 07.10.2014.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37400 to 67000/- AGP Rs. 10500/- Per Month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Ph.D. with a first class or equivalent in terms of grades. A minimum of 05 years of post-Ph.D. research, teaching or industrial experience with proven record of Research excellence through publications.
