National Institute of Hydrology, NIH, Applications are invited for the following posts to be filled up by direct recruitment in National Institute of Hydrology, at its Headquarters and Regional Centre from Indian Nationals satisfying qualifications and experience. post : Section Officer, Research Assistant, Lower Division Clerk, Technician, Stenographer

1. Section Officer :
No of post : 01 post on Deputation Basis.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 56 years
Scale of Pay : PB-2 Rs. 9,300 to 34,800 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Section Officer on Deputation Basis Officer under the Central Government / State Government / Public Sector Undertakings / Semi Government / Statutory / Autonomous Organisations / Societies:

2. Senior Research Assistant :
No of post : 02 posts
Age Limit : Not exceeding 30 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-2 Rs. 9,300 to 34,800 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 4600/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering OR Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry / Hydrology after acquiring Bachelor’s Degree in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics subjects.

3. Research Assistant :
No of post : 01 post
Age Limit : Between 18 to 27 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-2 Rs. 9,300 to 34,800 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 4200/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Geology from a recognised University / Board With 03 years experience in the relevant field.

4. Stenographer :
No of post : 03 posts
Age Limit : Between 18 to 27 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs. 5,200 to 20,200 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor’s Degree in Science / Arts / Commerce from a recognised University. Skill Test Norms in Dictation should be 10 mts @ 80 w.p.m. Transcription should be 50 mts (English), 65 mts (Hindi) on Computer.

5. Technician Grade-III :
No of post : 03 posts
Age Limit : Between 18 to 27 years.
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs. 5,200 to 20,200 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 2200/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : National Trade Certificate (ITI) in Information Technology / Welder / Plumber / Carpenter with 03 years experience in the relevant trade.

6. Lower Division Clerk :
No of post : 05 posts
Age Limit : Between 18 to 27 years (Relaxable for Government servants up to 40 years)
Scale of Pay : PB-1 Rs. 5,200 to 20,200 plus Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/- per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : 12th pass Should have a typing speed of 35 w.p.m. in English or 30 w.p.m. in Hindi on computer. (35 words per minutes and 30 words per minutes correspond to 10500 KDPH / 9000 KDPH on an average of 05 key depression for each word).
