Notification for Recruitment of Telecom Technical Assistant (TTA) in BSNL

Name of the Post: Telecom Technical Assistant (TTA)
No. of Vacancy: 16 posts (OC-10, OBC-4, ST-2)
Scale of Pay: Rs. 7100-200-10100
Qualification: A Candidate must possess three (3) years Engineering Diploma in Telecommunication Engineering / Electronics, Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Radio Engineering / Computer Engineering / Instrument Technology / M.Sc (Electronics) from a recognized Institution / University on the date of application.
Method of Recruitment: Through Competitive Examinations as per Departmental Rules. Only those candidates have secured minimum 50% marks in 3 years Engineering Diploma will be permitted to appear in the competitive examination.

How to apply for above post:
Application in A 4 size (30cm X 20cm) completed in all respects in the prescribed proforma along with the attested copies of the certificates in respect of qualification, age and community etc. should reach the Assistant General Manager (Admn), O/o the Chief General Manager, A&N Telecom Circle, BSNL, Telephone Bhawan, Port Blair – 744 101 on or before 30.09.2008 Candidates working under Central / State Govt. / Public Sector undertakings should send their applications through the Head of their Office / Department and reach this office on or before the due date. Application received after the due date from such offices will be summarily rejected. Recent passport size photograph attested by a Gazetted Officer should be affixed in the space provided for in the application. The envelope containing the application must be duly super scribed with “Application for the Post of Telecom Technical Assistant” on top of the envelop Two self addressed stamped envelops of 27×12 cms and 2 passport size photos identical to the photo pasted in the application should be enclosed along with application.

Application must be sent in the format as prescribed in the advertisement, otherwise it will be rejected.

Fees:
Rs. 500/- (Rupees Five Hundred Only) in the form of Bank Draft drawn in favour of Accounts Officer (Cash), BSNL, A&N Telecom Circle, payable at Port Blair along with the application in a single draft. Fees once paid will not be returned under any circumstances. SC / ST Candidates are exempted from the examination fee provided they enclose necessary Community Certificate.
