National Institute of Technology Karnataka, NIT, Applications in the prescribed format are invited from the Indian Nationals for the recruitment of the following Officer Cadre Posts on regular / deputation basis at the Institute. post : Librarian, Assistant Librarian, Superintending Engineer, Executive Engineer, Senior Students Activity and Sports Officer, Students Activity and Sports Officer, Technical Officer, Assistant Registrar, Medical Officer, Security Officer

1. Librarian :
No of post : 01 Post for UR only.
Age Limit : Preferably below 55 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37400 to 67000/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 10000/- Per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / documentation with CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale or at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC seven point scale & consistently good academic record set out in these Regulations. At least ten years as a Deputy Librarian in the Library of a technical university.

2. Assistant Librarian :
No of post : 01 Post for UR only.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 6000/- Per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / documentation with CGPA of 6.5 in 10 point scale or at least 60% marks or its equivalent grade of ‘B’ in the UGC seven point scale & consistently good academic record set out in these Regulations. Qualifying in the national level test conducted for the purpose by the UGC or any other agency approved by the UGC.

3. Superintending Engineer :
No of post : 01 Post for UR only.
Age Limit : Preferably Below 50 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 37400 to 67000/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 87000/- Per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : First class degree or equivalent grade in Engineering in relevant field from a recognized University / Institute. 15 years’ experience in relevant field as Engineer or higher level from CPWD, State PWD or semi-Govt. / PSU / Statutory or Autonomous organization / University / Institutions of national importance/ reputed organization under Central / State Govt.

4. Executive Engineer :
No of post : 01 Post for UR only.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 40 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 6600/- Per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : First class degree or equivalent grade in Engineering (Electrical / Civil / Communication) from a recognized University /Institute. 05 years’ experience in relevant field as Engineer / Asst. Engineer or similar organized services / semi- Govt./ PSU/Statutory or Autonomous organization / Universities / reputed Institute or organizations under Central / State Govt.
Desirable : Knowledge of Computer-aided Design (CAD) and latest Management Technology / other relevant software.

5. Senior Students Activity and Sports Officer :
No of post : 01 Post for UR only.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 45 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 8000/- Per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : First Class Master’s Degree in Physical Education or in Sports Science with at least 60% marks with a consistently good academic record.
Desirable : Experience in guiding groups of students in creative activities.

6. Students Activity and Sports Officer :
No of post : 01 Post for UR only.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 6000/- Per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : First Class Master’s Degree in Physical Education or Master’s Degree in Sports Science with at least 60% marks (or equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) with a consistently good academic record;
Desirable : Experience in guiding groups of students in creative activities.

7. Technical Officer (2- Networking, 1-MIS) :
No of post : 03 Posts (UR-2, OBC-1)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- Per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.E. / B.Tech or M. Sc /MCA Degree in relevant field with first class or equivalent grade (6.5 in 10 point scale) and consistently excellent academic record.
Desirable : Work experience in relevant field, e.g. maintenance of Scientific equipment, system administration, software development, fabrication and support to research.

8. Assistant Registrar (1 Accounts, 1 Academic) :
No of post : 02 Posts (UR-1, OBC-1)
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- Per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Masters’ degree in any discipline with at least 55% marks or its equivalent Grade ‘B’ in the UGC 7 point scale from a recognized University / Institute with excellent academic record.
Desirable : i) Qualification in area of Management / Engineering /Law. ii) Experience in handling computerized administration / legal / financial / establishment matters.

9. Medical Officer :
No of post : 01 Post for UR only.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 6000/- Per month NPA as per rules.
Essential Qualification & Experience : MBBS Degree or equivalent qualification included in any one of the Schedules to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956) and must be registered in a State Medical Register or Indian Medical Register.
Desirable : Post Graduate qualification, preferably MD, in General medicine.

10. Security Officer :
No of post : 01 Post for UR only.
Age Limit : Not exceeding 35 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100/- Plus Grade Pay Rs. 6000/- Per month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor degree from a recognized University / Institute which 05 years’ experience in Supervising position in Army / Central paramilitary Forces in Govt. organization / educational / Private organization.
