Staff Selection Commission North Western Region, SSCNWR, Applications are invited for the following posts under Government of India falling within the jurisdiction of Staff Selection Commission (NORTH WESTERN REGION ), Chandigarh. post : Tech Assistant, Scientific Assistant, Junior Chemist, Senior Technical Assistant

1. Technical Assistant : In Solar Energy Centre
No of post : 01 Post (UR-01)
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 30 years (Relaxable for Central Govt. Employees upto 35 years in case of Unreserved candidates)
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800/- per month with Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master’s Degree in Physics or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering / Technology from a recognized University or equivalent. Experience in R&D / Industrial / Academic Institution / S&T Organization in the field of Solar Thermal Energy Devices or allied matters.

2. Scientific Assistant Grade II : In 3 BRD Air Force Chandigarh
No of post : 01 Post (UR-01)
Age Limit : Between 18 to 30 years (Relaxable for Central Govt. Employees upto 35 years in case of Unreserved candidates)
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800/- per month with Grade Pay Rs. 4200/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Three years Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering or Rubber Technology OR BSc (with Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics) OR BSc (Hons) with Physics / Biochemistry / Statistics /Physiology OR BA/BSc Psychology 01 year experience in the field of Metallography / Oil Testing / Rubber Technology / Bio-Chemical Lab / Statistics / Physiology / Psychology / Psychiatry Lab.

3. Junior Chemist : In Regional Agmark Laboratory, Amritsar – Punjab
No of post : 01 Post (OBC-01)
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 30 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200 to 20200/- per month with Grade Pay Rs. 2800/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master?s degree in Chemistry or Dairy Chemistry or Oil Technology or Food Technology of a recognized University or equivalent OR B.Sc. degree with Chemistry as one of the subjects or B.Sc. (Hons.) in Chemistry from a recognized University or equivalent and with 02 years experience in analytical work.

4. Scientific Assistant in Directorate : In Directorate of Plant Protection,
Quarantine and Storage (PPQS), Faridabad}.
No of post : 05 Posts (04-UR, 01-OBC)
Age Limit : Between 18 to 25 years (Relaxable for Central Govt. Employees upto 40 years in case of Unreserved candidates)
Scale of Pay : Rs. 5200 to 20200/- per month with Grade Pay Rs. 2800/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : B.Sc. with Botany or Zoology or B.Sc. in Agriculture from a recognized University or Institute.

5. Senior Technical Assistant : (Chemical) in the O/o Central Ground Water Board . (Re-advertised)
No of post : 02 Posts (02-UR)
Age Limit : Not Exceeding 30 years (Relaxable for Central Govt. Employees by Five years)
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800/- per month with Grade Pay Rs. 4600/-,
Essential Qualification & Experience : Master?s Degree in Chemistry or Agricultural Chemistry or Soil Science from a recognized University or Institute or equivalent. Two years experience in Ground Water analysis and Ground Water Chemistry.

In the case of candidates residing in Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Manipur, Tripura, Nagaland, Sikkim, Jammu & Kashmir, Lahaul & Spiti District and Pangi Sub-Division of Chamba District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Lakshadweep and for candidates residing abroad, their closing date of application would be On 22.11.2013.

Fees/Application Fee:
Rs. 50/- (Rupees fifty only). No fee for SCs, STs, Female candidates, Physically Handicapped and Ex-Servicemen. However, such EXS candidates who have already secured employment under the Central Govt. Fee paid by IPO, cash, Bank Draft or pay order, will NOT be taken into consideration.

Last Date of Application Submission : On or before 15.11.2013 and for Flang area is on 22.11.2013.
