Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, IIG, Applications are invited for the following vacancies : Associate Professor, Technical Officer, Librarian, Accounts Officer

1. Associate Professor :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Maximum Age limit is 45 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 + GP Rs. 7600 /- per Month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : A First class Master’s degree in Physics / Geophysics / Applied Mathematics with atleast 10 years research experience in the areas of Solid Earth Geophysics / Geomagnetism. Ph.D. in topics related to the above areas with original research publications in high impact journals. Evidence of ability to lead a group and carry out independent research work of high quality

2. Technical Officer II :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Maximum Age limit is 40 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 15600 to 39100 + GP Rs. 5400 /- per Month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : First or high second class Masters Degree in Physics / Electronics or B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical / Electronics engineering 04 years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory / Institute / University. Knowledge and experience in (a) Geomagnetism and related fields or (b) Electronics.

3. Technical Officer I :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Maximum Age limit 35 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 + GP Rs. 4600 /- per Month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : First or high second class Master’s degree in Physics/ Maths / Geophysics / Geology/ Electronics or B.E. (Electronics), 02 years experience of working in the relevant field in a reputed Research Laboratory / Institute/ University.

4. Technical Officer I (Library) :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Maximum Age limit 30 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 + GP Rs. 4600 /- per Month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : M. Lib Science, preferably with Physics or Mathematics in B.Sc., 02 years experience of working in the Library in a reputed research laboratory / Institute / University.

5. Accounts Officer :
No of post : 01 Post
Age Limit : Maximum Age limit 40 years.
Scale of Pay : Rs. 9300 to 34800 + GP Rs. 4600 /- per Month.
Essential Qualification & Experience : Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with 5 years experience in accounting and related work of which 3 years should be in the immediate lower grade or equivalent post in a supervisory capacity in Govt/Semi Govt/Public Sector Undertaking/Private Sector of repute OR Master’s degree in Commerce with 3 years experience in supervisory capacity in accounting and related work in Govt/Semi Govt/Reputed Public or Private Sector Organisation. i. Knowledge of Auditing procedures in a Government /Semi Govt /reputed public or private sector organization. ii. Conversant in managing accounts data in Computer Software. Persons fulfilling the above norms and working in analogous post can also be considered for appointment on deputation/permanent absorption basis.

Fees/Application Fee:
Application fee of Rs. 100/- by crossed demand draft. The prescribed application form can also be obtained from the office of the Registrar by paying an application fee of Rs. 100/- by crossed demand draft in favour of Indian Institute of Geomagnetism, New Panvel either in person between 10.30 a.m. and 5.30 p.m. on working days.
